Positive: That's a lovely cottage for a couple to recharge the batteries from a daily routine. The view out of the window is absolutely magnificent. What was more we were lucky with the weather and had a chance to accomplish numerous hikes, trailrunning and cycling sessions to various places nearby. The cottage contains all nitty-gritty things to feel like home.

Negative: In case you're tall enough, you'll have to bend your head not to kick the ceiling since it's pretty low because of the compact size of a cottage. And there were some woodlice in the cottage because the building is rather old and it's a typical feature of a mountainious area. But As far as we don't have any entomophobia it didn't cause us any trouble.

Positive: Perfect location ideal size and comfort for our needs a nice base for our hiking holiday.

Negative: Unfortunately the bathroom shower flooded the downstairs sink when in use only on the last night of a 4 night stay random never seen anything like it the plumbing definitely needs a proper service. A few minor issues that need sorting central heating was not coming on as the downstairs radiator was switched off at source thermo valve was detached from the radiator. Bedroom tv remote was broken. Managed to get the bedroom tv on at source but it had pixel lines runing down the screen / faulty tv. To make the owners aware of the shower/ plumbing situation i messaged / emailed and used booking.com / sykes cottages platform to contact owners about shower / plumbing but have received no response at all strange but true.

Summary: Cosy nice but had a plumbing shower issue

Positive: Amazing little cottage in the middle of the Peak District. Perfectly equipped for 1-2 people, I lovingly refered to it as my tiny little hobbit house for the week. Smart use of the small space, and very comfy bed, bathroom and couch. Walking distance from the busstops, bars and shops in Bradwell!

Negative: The cottage was a little damp and there was quite some woodlice inside, did not feel too clean but then again it´s an old cottage.
