Our Guest Cottage is located just south of the Woodland Hills Country Club, in a quiet, safe neighborhood that feels like a world away from the busy city life, but is in fact only minutes from stores, restaurants, and entertainment. This neighborhood has attracted well-known artists of the movie and music industry since the early 1920s and this property was owned by the "Marilyn Monroe" of the silent movies, Clara Bow.
Due to the recent Covid-19 pandemic, please be assured that we are disinfecting all surfaces, as well as using a ozone air purifier between guests for your protection.
Newly renovated, comfortable 500 sqft guest cottage offers Italian travertine in the bathroom, luxurious, all natural queen size pull-out couch bed and a king bed. Inviting decor, full kitchen, private patio, or deck, wireless DSL. YouTube TV, HBO, or Cinemax, Amazone Prime Movies and Netflix provided. With access to a beautiful pool, in a tropical setting as part of the half-acre estate, this romantic cottage truly offers everything necessary for a memorable, comfortable stay.
Perfectly situated, only 30 minutes from Malibu, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Hollywood, Universal Studios & under 1 hour from Disney Land and Magic Mountain and just over 1 hour to Santa Barbara.
The Mulholland Scenic Corridor and its hiking trails are in walking distance, just around the corner, attracting mountain biker's and hikers alike.
Minutes away from Old Town Calabasas with its historic buildings, hanging tree and many rustic stores, restaurants, and a farmers market every weekend.

Summary: Property was as described; however we noticed ants upon arrival in the bathroom. We contacted owner who immediately brought some traps. Then on the morning of our departure the ants were all over the kitchen. No open food was left out. Drowned as many as I could in the sink but they were everywhere!

Summary: This was a lovely property. We were delayed flight wise and got in late at night and it was a little difficult to find the entrance but other than that it was great. The pool was pristine and we used it often. Had little nieces visit and swim and it was wonderful. Could have used more towels and such as we were there for 10 days but I am sure if we asked they would have provided more supplies but we didn’t want to bother the owners. Washing machine available. Would stay again. Very comfortable in a beautiful area. Just lovely.

Summary: We had an excellent time! It was nice to have the kitchen, outdoor grill and deck, and living room. The owners were great -- even met us on the road so we could find their place (the place was a bit difficult to find, especially at first in the dark). The property was lovely, and the area was a cute area.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage has its own deck with a gorgeous view! The home is located in a great neighborhood and within walking distance to hiking trails. The kitchen is well stocked and great for cooking your own meals as well as barbecuing. And the pool and spa are awesome!! Great stay!!

Summary: I can't say enough about this place. Incredibly clean and comfortable. Worked for much of my time here and the internet was fast and reliable. The private deck was huge and the hot tub hit the spot on a cool evening! Loved this place and hope to come back.

Summary: Stayed here to visit with family nearby in November and it was lovely! Very clean and well-kept. Lots of thoughtful touches like a space heater, shower that converts to a steam sauna, (sometimes when cool enough) salt water pool, and a hot tub that could be heated as needed. The owners were very responsive and available during our stay. Cute, quiet neighborhood in the hills with some hiking trails in walking distance. Feels like being in Topanga Canyon. Love the spacious deck with a great view of the valley. The king bed is comfy for a rental (I always want a firmer mattress, but that's me!) Lots of closet space and drawers to put clothes and items in so you don't have to rummage around in a suitcase to find things. It's definitely on the smaller side, and the kitchen layout is a little funky, which isn't shown in the photos. It's challenging for more than 1 person to be working in the kitchen at a time. There's a breakfast nook with a table and 4 chairs opposite the fridge, and the wall of the bathroom is opposite the counter making the space tight. Closest parking is on a steep, unpaved, somewhat slippery road. Our car doesn't have all-wheel drive and it spun out a few times trying to back out, which was a little stressy until we got the hang of it. We also had a couple of older folks come to visit and walking down the road to get to our place was a little dicey for them. If the road were paved, it would make things easier! One very nice addition would be dimmer switches on the lights in the living room and kitchen (or lamps like the ones in the bedroom) for a cozier vibe at night. Overall a great place to stay in the valley! We'll definitely be back.
