After exploring the shorelines, come home to kick back on the decked-out verandah or snuggle up by the fireplace and backyard fire pit.
Wake up at your own leafy-yet-beachy seaside retreat while you explore the Avoca Beach area. With coastal-themed decor, timber floors and generous indoor-outdoor living, you will truly feel on holiday the moment you walk through the door. Be prepared to drive up a steep driveway that leads to a small set of stairs at the entryway. Summary: We booked two nights but, unfortunately, stayed only one due to some issues with cleanliness. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable cat odor, so I had to purchase an air freshener. The sofa covered with Cat fur, and the bedroom needed more thorough cleaning, as there was dust on the walls, bed frame, bedside lamp, and ceiling fan. I had to clean it by myself to feel comfortable sleeping.I shared these concerns with the owner, who assured me that they would look into it. I appreciate their willingness to investigate and look forward to hearing from the property management. I hope these issues can be addressed to enhance the experience for future guests.

Summary: The cottage is nice. However, the driveway is very steep and there is nowhere to turn around that the top. This means reversing down the hill and the driveway is in between blind corners on both sides. Once you have parked, there are a set of steep stairs to walk up to gain entry. Unfortunately, this was not advertised or we would not have booked.
