This breathtaking beach front estate is truly one-of-a kind. Casa Playa Bonita or 'home on the pretty beach' was given its name by our two sons. This luxury home is 5,500 square feet. It has 5 bedroom suites, each with a private bathroom, making this home a perfect place for entertaining and accommodating multiple families. Each suite has a view of the beach and opens to the outdoor courtyard area and pool. The outdoor courtyard is made up of a large tiled area for lounging and a pool that accommodates all ages and activities. The shallow shelf pool is perfect for floating and sunning in the water or for little ones to play. The main pool is great for swimming laps, water aerobics, or just playing around. The enormous Jacuzzi has lots of seating including lounge seats for the ultimate foot or neck massage as you overlook the beach.
Casa Playa Bonita consists of 2 wings. The main wing is made up of 2 bedroom suites (each with a king bed), a gourmet kitchen, living room/dining room, private bathroom, maid's quarters, laundry facility with 2 washers and dryers, an outdoor grilling area and poolside bathroom. The second wing consists of 3 bedroom suites (2 suites with queen beds and 1 suite with 2 twin beds). One of the queen bedrooms and the twin bedroom have an optional adjoining feature to provide flexibility for families with children.
If you donโ€™t want to venture too far from the property, our home will provide you with the ultimate place to rest and relax in the lap of luxury. The home is constructed with custom finishes and furnishings and incorporates the beautiful wood and stone of Costa Rica with elegant style and design.
Additionally, we are extremely fortunate to have an amazing couple who work to take care of our home. Herman and Blanca are a married couple that tend to the home. They speak only Spanish but Blanca has been working on her English skills and we seem to understand each other pretty well without a translator. Herman and Blanca come daily and will see to every detail of making your stay relaxing, comfortable, and carefree.
We offer a private host/concierge who speaks both English and Spanish. They will work with you prior to your trip to arrange transportation details, excursions, chefs, stock-your-fridge, etc. Additionally, they will greet at the house upon your arrival and will be at your service for your entire stay.
Our home is nestled in a beautiful setting of trees where Howler monkeys come to play. We often see families of them in the trees as we play in the pool. Our children eat mangoes from the trees and pull fresh limes as needed when we make fresh ceviche or guacamole. We have a one 2 man sea kayak and two single man sea kayaks as well as boogie boards that add to the adventure. We delight in the ability to rest and refresh ourselves in our beautiful Costa Rican home. We know you'll love it, too!!
We offer free long distance through a Vonage line that allows you to call the US for free. Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations): Two of the suites and the main house are all on one level. There are 3 shallow steps going from the main entrance to that level.

Summary: Property was very beautiful and comfortable for 9 people. Kitchen was fully equipped with coffee makers, mixers, microwave, glasses, dishware, utensils as well as full array of condiments, mustard, ketchup, etc. The bedrooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The main part of the house had plenty of room and seating with tv and sound system.The pool and patio area were outstanding. Local traffic was very congested for travel to restaurants, The local property coordinator was extremely helpful and responsive. The adjacent beach was beautiful but required about 20 steps to access. Very enjoyable with plenty of space for a large group. The on-property attendants were very accommodating- general cleaning, making up rooms in the morning, pool towels available and keeping the kitchen organized. Enjoyed our stay.

Summary: We spent a week at Casa Playa Flamingo, ages 1-65. This house has everything you need - beachfront on the quiet end of Playa Flamingo + a clean, beautiful pool with a large 1 foot deep area for the little kids + lovely bedrooms, living area, kitchen with everything (games, full kitchen supplies, plenty of pool lounge chairs + 2 big pool umbrellas, chairs for the beach, chargers, bottled water, plenty of hot water. The caretakers Blanca and Herman keep everything clean and tidy, and the concierge Glennis helps with reservations, and answers questions via Whats App very quickly. The owner helps with suggestions for restaurants, tours, etc. If you have the chance, hire private chef Dania. Her food is very, very tasty and she accommodates a mix of needs (vegan/vegetarian/etc). I can't think of anything negative to say about this house! My only suggestion to travelers is to be careful when eating out - as in all travel, GI trouble can happen.

Summary: This property, from the bedroom suites to the kitchen to the caretakers and the beach, was incredible. We had plenty of space to spread out and the kitchen/common area had everything we could need. As a family that loves games, we enjoyed the closet with so many choices. Caretakers were awesome and the property manager, Glennis, was extremely helpful. From dinner reservations to recommendations on excursions, we were so thankful for her guidance! We would absolutely return again and will recommend this house to others traveling to Costa Rica - it was a dream, for sure.

Summary: Our family ages 11-79, loved the week in this beautiful home. It was perfect for our family of 9. The house and location is paradise. The beach is beautiful and almost like a private beach. Glennis was wonderful to decorate the house for Christmas and make arrangements for all our outings. She is so delightful and had everything perfect for us. Chef Luis cooked meals for us everyday and we loved everything he fixed. Herman and Blanca keep the house and grounds spotless. I cannot thank the owners enough for the use of their wonderful home. All 9 of us say we want to return there for our next family trip. Everyone we met in Costa Rica was pleasant and friendly. What a beautiful place.

Summary: Magnificent property! This home was perfect for our large family. We enjoyed the pool/outdoor area so much! It was so relaxing to float in the pool and relax in the hot tub and enjoy the beautiful ocean views! The stairs to the beach are easy and convenient. You feel like you are on your own private beach. We took out the kayaks that are at the house and really had fun, and also used the boogie board regularly! To hear the sound of waves everyday was very soothing. The outdoor area's for seating/eating are perfect and comfortable. Most morning's you would find us drinking coffee on the back patio mesmerized by the beautiful ocean views. All the bedroom suites were very comfortable and very private. Opening your sliding glass door every morning to the pool area was a special treat! The kitchen is perfect, it has everything you need. We had chef Dania prepare a fabulous meal for us one evening, to celebrate my daughter in laws's birthday and it was truly special. I would recommend if you have a chance. Coco Loco is a must!! I have to say thank you to Lisa for opening up her beautiful home to us. We had such beautiful memories made there... And a big thank you to Herman and Blanca who maintain the home. They are very special. And a huge thank you to Glennis the property manager who made all of our excursions and experiences in Costa Rica so very special.

Summary: Weโ€™ve stayed in some fabulous VRBOs over the years but this one has them all beat, hands down. The location, the house, and the gracious and always helpful owner were all wonderful. Add to that all the little things that make such a big difference (charging stations in every rooms, flashlights for beach walks, quality pool floats, private concierge, two large capacity coffee makers, etc etc etc) and you have a property that exceeds every expectation. Weโ€™re in the airport waiting to fly home and Iโ€™m already dreaming about when we can come back!

Summary: Our whole experience was absolutely perfect! This home is so gorgeous! The views are heavenly! The design is perfect for large groups! It was so nice that everyone had their own suites that were so quiet you didnโ€™t hear a thing! The kitchen/living area is absolutely beautiful! The pool/lounging area is so pretty and relaxing!! The owner is so easy to work with! I feel like weโ€™re friends! The property managers are so informative and very helpful! The caretakers Blanca and Herman are the cutest and sweetest! And so hard working!! They keep the property looking great your entire visit! The beach is one of the prettiest and cleanest Iโ€™ve seen! The location for dining and shopping is so convenient! The locals are so nice, they all make you feel so welcome! We loved our trip and Iโ€™m sure weโ€™ll be back!

Summary: If you are looking for a great property with a large group 10 or so, this house is for you. Especially if you are wanting a direct access to a very private beach. The owner has thought of just about everything for you in this place. In fact it might be the best VRBO I have stayed at (and I have stayed everywhere in them).The house comes with an in house care taker and they clean up and make sure all goes well while you are there. The owner is also the most hands on owner I have worked with. She was a huge help in making my first trip to CR a success. I could go on and on but I am sure this review will make one understand what you renting. Cheers to Lisa and Team
