Welcome to Xanadu...
A Secluded & Relaxing Waterfront Oasis.
Completely renovated and updated. Fully air-conditioned 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath 1,800sf house with magnificent views of Elizabeth Harbour and Stocking Island.
2 King suites, 1 with ensuite. 3rd. bedroom hosts a Queen.
Wifi.
2 patios for finding some 'me' time.
A large deck that spans the front of the house to catch up on rays in one of the chaise lounges, relax on the couch and watch the boats sail into the Harbour or dine alfresco with the outside dining table that seats 4-6 people, all the while watching the ever changing magical hues of the turquoise water.
Indoors- enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, 5 burner gas stove, elec. oven, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, etc... stocked pantry. Everything you need, just add your groceries.
Dining table that fits 6-8 people.
Large sunroom overlooking the deck and the harbour.
Netflix and a library of DVD's in the tv room. Also games and puzzles if you care to take a day off from exploring.
Mere steps to the waters edge. A rock shoreline with steps leading into the water is perfect for snorkeling and hunting for sand dollars. (Snorkel gear included.) Also 3 kayaks and 1 paddle baord.
Xanadu is 10 minutes from the airport.
Walking distance to a grocery store and liquor store.
3 minute drive to the closest beach, Jolly Hall Beach (One of the ones you can see from the house. And one of our faves.)
Numerous restaurants less than 5 minutes away.
We do suggest renting a car so you can explore Exuma and what it has to offer...
Rental boats available at Minns Water Sports.
Take an excursion to swim with the pigs, play with the iguanas and snorkel in Thunderball Grotto where they filmed a couple of Bond, James Bond movies. ;)

Summary: We were intrigued with this home in Great Exuma from the moment we looked at the listing. The photos do not compare to the actual sight of the turquoise water and abundant flowering plants. Xanadu is perched on a hill with easy access by concrete path to the water. There is a ladder to use . This home is decorated beautifully in white, beachy blues and greens And has been renovated remarkably without losing the Caribbean cottage feel. We enjoyed the modern kitchen, the 3 spacious outdoor areas and the outdoor shower as well. The king size beds were super comfortable! We loved all of the white linens ! Lisa and Frank communicated so much information to prepare for this vacation and they were always accessible if we had any questions. We loved the location: minutes to the airport, downtown Georgetown and many beautiful beaches. We would most definitely rent Xanadu in the future! It was really hard to leave this place!

Summary: Host communication was stellar with timely responses, great recommendations and information to prepare you for the trip. Location was central with less than 30 minute access to either end of the island. Quiet and one awesome view to wake up to each morning. Can’t go wrong with this one

Summary: We just returned from a six-night stay at Xanadu with our teenage boys, and this house was a perfect home base for exploring the island. It was an easy drive from the airport and centrally located for exploring both ends of Exuma and everything in between. The view from this house is hard to beat- absolutely beautiful- and the home feels very private. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked, which was helpful as we cooked most of our dinners at the house. Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean! The owners, Lisa and Frank, could not have been more helpful. They provided tons of info about the island before the trip, and checked in throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Also really appreciated the generous welcome gifts! Great house on Exuma!

Summary: Loved this home and the views are INCREDIBLE! Our family had a relaxing holiday week soaking up the sun and the laid-back Exuma vibes. Close to grocery (and liquor) stores with a well-equipped kitchen, we were able to cook at home when we didn't want to go out. Communication with Lisa (owner) was great - they provided lots of local interest info and were prompt and friendly. Highly recommend Xanadu!

Summary: I want to start off with saying that Lisa was an excellent host, always available to answer questions and work through issues. The house and its rooms/bathrooms/overall decor is on the older side and has a slightly weird floor plan (main entrance through one of the bedrooms, there is only a sliding door (no lock) on the side of the house where kitchen and dining area is. We had a few issues (no fault of the house), rather island dysfunction like electricity that was shut off which affected the water. The water was consistently shut off 10pm-6pm due to infrastructure work on the island. Again, no fault of the house but inconvenient for 2 weeks. What we enjoyed the most is the view from master bedroom and kitchen areas, deck. Being able to jump in the water and swim right below the house was amazing. What we enjoyed the least was the uncomfortable couch in the TV area and the super small bedroom in the middle. Lisa really did the best she could to make our stay comfortable, however next time I would probably look for a more updated, modern house (there are a few in the area). Good experience overall though. For those traveling to Exuma first time, the infrastructure is not the best (poor roads, potholes, issues with electricity and water). The kitchen in the house is really well equipped for those that know how to cook - not many good restaurants in Exuma and food is expensive. Georgetown is far from fancy and GGT airport is a joke, especially Silver Airways (never again).

Summary: This home was more than perfect for our stay in Exuma! The views from the house and back deck were stunning. The fact that we could walk out of the house and jump in the water to snorkel made the trip even better! The house is stocked with everything one could need for their vacay. The beds were super comfortable. And they have a great library of DVD's to watch at night :) Lisa and Frank were so accommodating and helpful through the entire process. We will definitely be back again!

Summary: Maryellen M. My family and I recently traveled to Exuma for the first time in May. First off it is one of the most breathtaking islands that we have ever had the privilege of visiting! Secondly, we couldn't have picked a more beautiful property to stay at then Xanadu House! The house has the most spectacular views from every angle!!! It is well appointed with everything you could possibly need for your island stay. A wonderful surprise for us was the treats that were left in the refrigerator upon our arrival! Lisa and Frank were a wealth of information about the island with great communication!! We will be visiting Xanadu House and Exuma again of that we are sure! This house is a beautiful hidden gem!
