Positive: Yatama is an absolute jewel at the edge of Braulo Carilllo NP. The cabins are clean and comfy and there's nothing like falling asleep with the sounds of the forest. There's a lot of wildlife to be spotted (toucans and capucins right outside our window!) and the lodge's walking trails lead you to magical river crossings and moss covered bridges that will make you hear the Indiana Jones tune while you walk over them. Everything is built and thought through to preserve the environment and its inhabitants. Pedro is himself a gem of a guide, dedicated and passionate about this place. Food was amazing - including top vegan catering!

Positive: I loved the nature and the animals surrounding the lodge. The common area was also very inviting. There were hammocks and a guitar. Shoutout to Jersen ! A great guide!
Negative: Yatama is not for everyone considering its in the wild. We liked everything about this place (except maybe the bumpy ride there) but others who prefer a more sterile environment may not enjoy it as much as us.

Positive: Amazing place! The staff are brilliant You get a whole "house" to yourself with a balcony to watch the birds in.nearby trees. Perfect for escaping into nature, forget the car a couple of days, be amongst birds and frogs, enjoy the fresh food. Showers after a humid forest walk were good, with plenty hot water. Bugs and creepy crawlies were around but kept away from us! The drive up is an "adventure" ... you just need to take your time and have a good car! Allow at least 40 mins to get to the pick-up point from Horquetas. Take enough clothing for your stay - dirty, wet clothes won't dry in the forest during rainy season May to Nov. Be sure to buy a t-shirt as it also means a tree gets planted for you!

Positive: The property was very simple but it was everything we needed. The water pressure and temperature was good, the bed was comfortable, the food was good, the WiFi worked, the staff was friendly. The location was incredible. It really was a unique experience. The guided tours were really cool. We saw howler and spider monkeys, five different snakes, all sort of frogs, many birds. The guide was really knowledgeable and Pedro was super helpful. I would absolutely recommend staying here to someone.
Negative: There wasn’t anything I would say we didn’t like about this property or experience I would Just say be prepared for the bugs.

Positive: Fantastic accommodation, surrounded by a rainforest full of wildlife. The night walk was wonderful, we saw snakes, spiders and a lot of frogs. The blue jeans frog was stunning and we hosted some bats in our lodge too! Food was plentiful and delicious, we wish we could have stayed longer
Negative: It's a bit of a rough ride to get to the lodge but it is worth it!

Positive: Location, the night walks and birding walk. Jeremy was so informative and friendly on both of these. An amazing place- need a four wheel drive to get o the pick up place, a 4x4 to get beyond. The food was amazing and simple. Most of all the wildlife. What great memories. Thanks Pedro (the inspirational and friendly owner) and his small team who were all amazing .
