Summary: We really enjoyed our visit to Waters Edge. The house in a private community overlooking the water and very close to many restaurants, shops and beaches in the Hamptons. There are gorgeous and peaceful water views from every room in the house. At times it felt like a nature preserve with swans and ducklings coming right up to our dock. The outdoor patio is lovely and we spent the evenings in front of the fire pit with a glass of wine. The open concept kitchen is fully stocked. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bedding is top notch. We got lucky with the weather and were able to kayak out to North Sea Harbor from Fish Cove. We also had an enjoyable stroll to Towd Point Beach which was about 10 minutes from the house. The hosts were very responsive. We plan on coming back and would highly recommend this property for a long or short term stay.

Summary: Are you particular? Fussy about temperature? Bedding? Cleanliness? Need to bring your mother and your dog? Finding the perfect home to suit everyone's needs is not easy. We booked Sharon's home from June 1 - 12 and learned a lot about vacationing early in the season. The home is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with the entry from the street and the view on the water. The highlight is the incredible water view from the kitchen, lounging areas and all bedrooms. There are purple rhododendrons in bloom and the lawn and trees welcome ducks, geese, loon, birds and squirrels. There is a fireplace that adds ambiance in the am with your coffee and in the pm with your glass of wine or champagne. The wrap around windows allow you be one with nature which is a gift when you live in the city. After popping the cork and enjoying a delicious lobster dinner delivered from Schmidts (in less than one hour!), we were able to appreciate the climate control, everyone having their own room and the comfortable mattresses and bedding. Each room offers room darkening drapery and a remote-controlled television. My husband is a golfer and wanted to play different courses and everyone else wanted to explore East/Southampton and Sag Harbor. With only one car, we decided to rent at Enterprise. There was a large shipment of vehicles that just came in for the US Open. My happy husband left with the new Maserati SUV at a better rate due to the season not quite in full swing. Two cars made a big difference for us and we were able to enjoy the reading book marathon of Moby Dick in Sag Harbor, visiting Tory Burch's two shops and then seeing her home on Ox Pasture, going to the charming movie theatre to see Oceans 8 with Sandra Bullock and then walking past her home at Cooper's Beach. Amazing Italian at Dopo in front of the Sag Harbor marina and endless boutique shops that you don't see anywhere. Temperatures ran between 69 and 75 degrees. With sun, it felt much warmer and was pleasant for everyone. Boating season was just kicking in, the children were still in school and the crowds had not yet arrived. The house was centrally located and a short distance to the beaches, shops and markets which made it convenient for last minute meal pick-ups. We had a wonderful stay in this home and found it equipped with everything we needed including a wonderful new front-loading stackable washer and dryer. We highly recommend this home.

Summary: We had such an awesome time at Sharon and Jim's cozy waterfront place. We took out two dogs with us. Sharon and Jim were so kind to have left notes for us about local resources which was so helpful. During our stay, we had the fuse blow out and being city people, didn't reAlly have a clue. Sharon and Jim were quick to respond and got it resolved even before it became an issue. Highly recommend this getaway if you want some relaxing time away from all the hustle and bustle , but still want to enjoy some active time on the water.

Summary: My husband, mother, friend and I had such a wonderful time is this perfectly situated home on Fish Cove. Everything we needed was supplied. Cooking was a dream as you could see the sunset from the expansive windows from the kitchen/living room. There is an extra living room upstairs but we hardly used it as we spent so much time downstairs enjoying the view or hanging on the patio. There are paddle boards and kayaks for use. A beautiful walk to Toudt's point. It was a wonderful place to use as a base to explore the Hamptons, Sag Harbour, Shelter Island and Montauk. We had a most relaxing time in early September when most travelers have gone.

Summary: We had lots of fun at our stay. We spend a week in the house. Everything we needed was there and more. We used the kayaks and paddle boards. What a fun thing to do. Enjoy the water and beautiful scenery. The house is very central. We drove to another little town every day. Really love Long Island with its beautiful nature. Go to Elizabeth A Morton park, feed the birds. Don't forget to bring bird seed. The chipmunks come run to you and little birds land on your hand. We loved the beach Coopers beach but also Montauk. Thanks Sharon for the suggestions.

Summary: My wife and I have traveled the world and are very experienced staying in luxury resorts (Four Seasons, Peninsula, Montage, etc.) and we loved this property. We brought friends out from Texas and it was very comfortable with 6 adults and our 2 year old God son. Our favorite times were sitting on the outdoor patio looking at the beautiful still water in the mornings (watching ducks, swans and we even saw some wild turkeys) as well as relaxing on the patio at night with tiki torches blowing in the gentle breeze. The beds were all very comfortable, and all our guests commented on how well they slept every night. We all took showers before dinner and had plenty of hot water. The location is also great, easy to get to Watermill, Souhampton and Sag Harbor within 15 minutes driving. Sharon the owner was very responsive and was even nice enough to go buy a few extra kitchen supplies that my "chef-trained" wife requested to cook a few elaborate dinners for 6 adults. But, the house had everything we needed and our guests liked being able to paddle board or kayak right from the dock in the backyard. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets every night from the back yard and we rented a ski boat for 2 days--because we could drive it right up to our own private dock. This house is also close to several local beaches but you need a car to drive there. It always bothers us if there is nothing negative at all written in online reviews...so the only things we could think of were: it only has 2 showers so someone has to share (but it does have a 3rd half bath) and apparently it has no garbage disposal, which may be due to local regulations. For a rent house, we really enjoyed it and would definitely go back to stay there again!! We highly recommend this property! Also, our favorite restaurants were: Lunch/The Lobster Roll on the right side out past East Hampton, Nick & Toni's, Silvers' BLT is my very favorite lunch--must share it because it's huge!, Topping Rose House (Jean Georges), Tutto il Giorno sitting outside, The Beacon (doesn't take reservations) and we love the gelato at Sant Ambroeus. Crow's Nest in Montauk is worth the drive for an early dinner and visit the cool "dive" pub called Murf's in Sag Harbour.
