Positive: Amazing experience. I don’t even know how to describe our stay, it was simply magical. The hotel is beautiful and the service fenomenal, everything exceeded all of our expectations. I highly recommend to check in at 14h and stay in to enjoy the facilities. The open baths are beautiful and the don’t get me started on the garden: breath taking to say the least. The food can be a challenge for picky eaters, but if you like trying new things and flavours I promise you it will be an interesting experience. If you rather keep it safe, they also have a stake house. The location is very convenient to explore Hakone, close to the main station and the bus stop.

Positive: Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very accommodating and thoughtfully adapted my miso soup from the previous. Night.

Negative: It seems unnecessary to charge for sparkling water when everything else is included. Cocktails I can understand, but just a regular beverage?

Summary: I am grateful to have had this authentic experience in such a lovely area.

Positive: The staff were extremely attentive and it was a wonderful experience to stay in a ryokan in beautiful gardens and indoor and outdoor Onsen. It was well located by the station so easily accessible to explore Hakone.

Negative: We found the Japanese breakfast and evening meal very interesting and unusual but not to our taste. We are unaccustomed to the variety of seafood . We would have liked a different option at breakfast , fruit , yogurt and some eggs .

Positive: The outdoor onsen is beautiful. The Ryokan offers different room styles. The modern ones are very cosy. The traditional japanese rooms are completely different and in comparison less comfortable, but they give a more genuine experience.
