**From Memorial Day to Labor Day the house is rented by the week, from Sunday to Sunday only. The rest of the year has a two night minimum.**
The House:
This stunning 3-level Contemporary Colonial Home is right on the water and has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.. An upscale luxury home that provides everything you will need for a relaxing, stress-free vacation. Every level has a lake view that won't disappoint.
Top level features a gorgeous Master bedroom with a King-size bed, spacious on-suite, soaking tub with a lake view, water closet, coffee/wine station, desk/work area and private balcony. Enjoy your morning coffee or sip some wine in the evening and take in all that lake life has to offer.
Middle level features a comfortable living area with a vaulted ceiling and open floor plan. The living room has a sectional sofa, 65" tv and a 2-story stone gas fireplace. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need to prepare meals with ease. The dining area has a bay window and gives you exceptional views of the lake while you dine. The table comfortably seats eight and the island has three stools. There are two bedrooms on this level; one bedroom features a Queen-size bed and the second has a Twin-size bed and a twin trundle bed. Each room has a tv and they share a full size bathroom. This level also includes a spectacular wrap-around porch. There is plenty of seating, including a daybed. Peek around the corner and you will see a gas grill available.
Lower level suite features a private bedroom with a Queen-size bed including a tv and DVD player, kitchen area, kitchen table, living area with tv, full-size sofa-sleeper, full bathroom and laundry room.
The Game Room:
The garage has been transformed into a brand new game room. Grab a partner and play pool, ping pong, air hockey, bubble hockey, foosball, darts or shuffleboard. Take a bike ride on one of the four bicycles provided. A refrigerator/freezer is also available to keep your drinks cold.
The Backyard:
Lounge on the 125' of lakefront property or hang out on the dock with lots of seating provided. An indoor storage area has everything you will need: floaties, coolers, outdoor entertaining trays, drink buckets, beach towels, children's activities, grill accessories, life jackets and many games. The stone patio area offers a large outdoor dining area with market umbrellas, custom stone gas grill and custom stone gas fire table. Not enough? There are many places to relax: lounge chairs, hammock or the Adirondack chairs surrounding the firepit. You can also bring your boat or jet ski on vacation (let me know if you intend to bring a boat or jet ski). Tie up on the dock or use the lifts.
Still want more? All this is on the East side of the lake in Ovid, where there is a panoramic view of every sunset.
The Destinations:
Your lakeside retreat is located in the heart of wine country. You'll be surrounded by wineries, breweries and cideries. Need more activities? Sampson State Park offers biking trails, hiking, swimming, a playground, arcade, movies, pontoon rentals, boat launch and boat trailer storage. They also have live music and a food truck every Friday evening. There is a walking/biking trail to Sampson State Park just past the house at the end of the road. Try your luck at Del Lago Resort/Casino. Spend the day shopping at Waterloo Premier Outlets. Bring your golf clubs and play at Bonavista State Golf Course. Don't forget all that Taughannock State Park has to offer: waterfalls, gorge trails, swimming and hiking. Ovid also has many fruit and vegetable stands. Ithaca, Watkins Glen and Geneva are only a half hour away and offer festivals, boat cruises, night life, shopping and restaurants.

Summary: Incredible! Over and above any rental we've stayed in before. Decor is impeccable and there isn't an amenity that was overlooked. Beds and all indoor/outdoor furniture very comfortable. Kitchen stocked extremely well. Lake toys (kayaks, paddle boards, floats, etc) made water play a blast! And the view from the deck and dock cannot be beat - super peaceful and private. We loved exploring the local area as well- hiking in state parks, bike riding, boating, and wineries/breweries. We enjoyed a fantastic week with our family and hope to return again!

Summary: Check in was easy. When we got there everything was neat clean and ready to go. Jill left us a nice welcoming gift, and even a nice gift basket for my granddaughter for her birthday. Jill, has thought of everything to make it like home. There was nothing you wished you had with you that wasn’t already there. The kitchens were well stacked with dishes, utensils, storage containers, cooking and serving tools. Even a full spice rack and plastic wrap.The lake shore is quiet and private. My granddaughter totally enjoyed all the floaty toys for the water, and the porches and dock are very comfortable to enjoy the serenity of the lake.We had 6 adults and a preteen and all had private, comfortable rooms that were adequately appointed with pillows, bathrobes and bathroom amenities.We have already rebooked for next year. We loved it.

Summary: July 2025 is our second summer returning back to this luxury lake home. Jill is fantastic to communicate with and pays attention to all the small details throughout the house, and lakefront. We noticed several upgrades from the previous summer, which were added bonuses to what was already a very comfortable and relaxing experience. Our family consists of ages: 1,5,8,9,11,13, mid 40 adults and Grandma. There is something for everyone, no matter the age. The “floaty room” shouts water fun for the kids (with all the lake toys a kid can dream of using). The covered porch is great for crawling littles and Gma. The game room is a hit for all. Fishing was also really good for the boys this year. Jill has thought of everything- from the amazing towel warmers, luxury bedding & blankets to spare toiletries and the fully equipped kitchen (I could go on)! We used baby gates, a highchair and pack-n-play that were also provided. We took bike rides and stroller walks on the Sampson State path at the end of the street. To simply put it, just pack your suit, some lake cozy clothes and groceries. The rest is there for you upon arrival- we also loved the 1st birthday welcome basket for our younger little guy, which kicked off our week right. Thank you for another fantastic week!

Summary: We were a group of military veterans and spouses who meet every two years in different locations as we are scattered. This by far was our favorite place. The hosts have so thoughtfully accommodated every need and more. The home is beautifully decorated and clean. The property manager was wonderful and the views are to die for. If you are going to the finger lakes, this is the place to stay!!

Summary: What a beatiful house! It was right on the lake with gorgeous views, impeccably appointed and spotlessly clean. The house sports a garage full of games, 2 fire pits, a barbeque, a hammock, a dock and multiple outdoor seating areas. The bathrooms had baskets of toiletries, the bedrooms had lavendar pillow spray and the kitchen had a Keurig and choclate-dipped biscotti. Jill was immediately resposive to our communications and left us a "Congratulations Graduate" gift basket after I mentioned that we were there for our daughter's graduation from Cornell. This was by far the best house we have ever stayed in; it far exceeded all our expectations. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Summary: This place lives up to the pictures…beautiful, clean and upscale. The amenities were amazing, from the towel warmer to the bath bombs to the welcome basket….and even sugar free syrups for my coffee! The views were spectacular. We would revisit and recommend. Thank you!

Summary: Our group of 8 ladies just finishing spending the weekend at beautiful Stairway to Haven! Everything we could ever want was there, beautiful views outside every floor. Even though it was a windy, rainy weekend, we made the most of the views, the game room in the garage, and simply just celebrating a bride to be ina beautiful place! Clean and thoughtful items/toiletries for use. Well stocked kitchen. Expresso machine was a treat. FYI lots of stairs!

Summary: Overall it was amazing! Jill was very friendly, helpful and communicative! House was stunning, property was stunning. Neighborhood was something out of a Steven King novel. But the bed covers were stained with what looked like old blood.
