Summary:
Our family group of 10 (grandparents, parents and 4 grandkids) thoroughly enjoyed Casa Paraiso. Nelson and Genesis (primarily Spanish speaking) were attentive to our needs and made delicious meals for us. While we did the first day shopping w Nelson and picked up other meal items when we were in town, Nelson is happy to shop once menus have been set. The beach front property was perfect for our kids. We couldn’t keep them Out of the warm waves. They took full advantage of the available activities (volleyball, swimming, playing w dogs..Sola and Laura). We had cars (driving not for the faint of heart which helped us get into Las Terrenas, to the waterfall, zip line, etc. but for fishing and snorkeling the boat came to us. Be aware that there are occasional power outrages in the area which impacts hot water but we were never without for long. We hated to leave.

Summary:
Casa Paraiso will not disappoint. Sometimes a rental property comes with several unpleasant surprises which, even if small, add up to frustration. Other times, a rental property continues to surprise in the best possible way –and that's the case here.
The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, without question. The beach is beautiful, the grounds are well-kept, and the rooms are well-appointed. You're close enough to a small market and a couple of restaurants in walking distance, but you're nowhere near the noise and commotion of central Las Terrenas itself.
But what really sets this place apart is the staff. From the moment of our arrival, Nelson, Genesis, Maria, and Coco were helpful at every turn. The value of having the housekeeping and cooking included in the cost of the rental cannot be overstated. You don't need to go out. You can instead spend your money on groceries and a generous tip for the amazing staff and eat in a beautiful setting right on the beach, without worrying about driving, parking, taxis, or walking home in the dark.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that this place is above and beyond.

Summary:
We recently had the pleasure of staying at a beach property hosted by VRBO, and I cannot emphasize enough how amazing our experience was. From the moment we arrived, the staff, including Nelson, Maria, and Genesis, went above and beyond to cater to our every need. Their warm hospitality and attentive service truly made our stay unforgettable.
The beach property itself was nothing short of spectacular. Spacious and well-designed, it comfortably accommodated our large group of 13 people. The open concept layout seamlessly connected the indoor spaces to the beach and ocean, allowing us to fully appreciate the stunning surroundings.
One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious home-cooked meals prepared by Nelson, Genesis, and Maria. Not only were these meals mouthwatering, but Nelson was able to accommodate our requests for every meal. It was a true luxury to have such talented chefs at our disposal.
The grounds of the property were impeccably maintained, and we were delighted to discover a fish and turtle pond on the premises.
Despite being in close proximity to neighbors, the property felt remarkably quiet and peaceful, adding to the
overall tranquility of our stay.
Additionally, the presence of a 24-hour security guard gave us an added sense of safety and peace of mind. Knowing that there was someone constantly monitoring the property added to our overall relaxation and
enjoyment of our vacation. We truly felt secure and well taken care of throughout our stay.

Summary:
We really had an awesome 7 day stay. the house is big, fresh, extremely well located and beautifully maintained. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Overall this was a wonderful vacation and we were able to relax and forget about our hectic life for some days.
We had 3 families and 6 kids total (ages 6 to 12), we all had a great time.
House is just steps from the beach and in top there is a pool to relax in the afternoons.
Whenever we decided to go out, you are just 5 minutes from all the restaurants and nigh life. The town is about 10-15 minute drive and Nelson was able to call a taxi for us which will wait while we were shopping, very easy and convenient whenever we had to go to the supermarket or just explore the town.
Communicating with Annabella was extremely easy, always very responsive , even though we didn't have any issue during the stay.
We are looking forward to come back one day. It was a great experience and I definitely recommend to explore Las Terrenas and this house.
Thanks for a wonderful vacation Anabella, Nelson and Genesys.

Summary:
I am happy to share what was one of the most spectacular vacation experiences of my life. As beautiful as the pictures are on the site, they really don't do this property justice. From the second we pulled in, you're taken back by this hidden gem tucked away in the lush native landscape , sitting right on the beach. Better yet, we where greeted with a smile. Nelson, the house caretaker, is the ultimate gentleman and available for you to have everything you need. The house is completely open with wood shutter doors and windows that pull the ocean breeze through the entire house. (DON'T EVER CHANGE THAT). You can feel the love put into every corner of this home. Each room is tastefully decorated with an artistic touch, filled with local art and culture. I slept like a king with all my windows and doors open to the sounds of waves crashing, a salty breeze and birds singing. And don't get me started on the food. Genesis is your in-house culinary QUEEN. She prepared local delights from fresh caught mahi, garlic tostones and coconut rice just to name a few. One night, Nelson stepped in to make us a full "Parrillada" meat on the grill, which he had set up on tables out on the sand next to the ocean. That night he prepared a giant bomb fire that lit up the night for hours. And of course you have what feels like miles of beach all to yourself. The warm clear water extends at a shallow depth where you can sit and enjoy a cold beer, go for a morning swim, or a sunset dip. As you can probably feel, I really LOVE this place and can't wait to go back. I want to thank Anabella for being a stellar host and allowing us to make memories in her beautiful home. Can't wait to come back. Also, send my love to Lara and Sola, the house dogs. They are the ereything:)))

Summary:
The house, location, beach and pool allowed our multi-generational family of 13, ages 2-67 to have a fabulous Christmas and New Years vacation together.
Nelson, the "butler" was the BEST and responded to every request (with a smile) including the multiple meal times for the young and the old. He went above and beyond; providing a decorated Christmas tree; bringing us dinner on the beach; grilling fish and lobster from the local market on the open fire; lighting bonfires on the beach; guiding us on market purchases; and freely offering local information and advice. We always felt safe and looked after by Nelson. He was a very appreciated and happy part of our stay.
The initially immaculate house did suffer over time with insufficient cleaning and unchanged linens - finally we asked. There was a lack of hot water and dry, clean beach towels.
The free run of the geese in the yard and the house pets (dogs and cats) plus rain likely lead to excessive mosquitoes and flees which did torment us all and affected where we chose to sit or eat.
The online listing could be updated. It indicated there was a SUP (damaged and did not appear), ping pong table (no net), and trampoline (in questionable state). The basket of sand toys for the kids was appreciated and we did add to it including 2 small boogie boards for the surf, which incidentally was fabulous for all ages. The tree house needed repair and was located in swarms of mosquitoes.
The 6th bedroom in a separate structure on the non beach side of the house was not appropriate for our young children, and the adults preferred the luxury of the bedrooms and bathrooms in the house. The requested crib did not appear.
We did rent a car as suggested and it was well used to get to Las Terrenas. The restaurant El Porto and Mosquito Bar - about 1 km. down the beach were fun to walk to.
The beach was truly out of a tropical isle photo book, lined with coconut palms, with almost no development and very swim-able surf. It was spectacular for long walks (to town) and swimming. Local kite surfing provided lots of entertainment.
Our meals were prepared for us by Santa and Nelson and there was always an abundance of good food including the local specialty of pork for Christmas.
Overall our stay at Casa Paraiso was a fabulous experience. The positive certainly outweighed the negative and our memories are wonderful. Anabella has a beautiful home and we thank her for sharing it with us.
