#GeauxSeven is located East of downtown New Orleans. This beauty is located in the quiet and established neighborhood of Lake Barrington. Ample off-street parking, spacious living areas to entertain, and a covered backyard to sit by the pool and enjoy your favorite cocktail.
3 bd and 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom has its own private bathroom and walk-in closet. Enjoy two living rooms, formal dining, a kitchen w/ breakfast area, and a great room spacious enough to entertain for the holidays or enjoy a movie night with family or friends. Need to cool off, walk out back and enjoy a cool swim in your private pool. Pool depth is 3-8 ft. Want to enjoy a nice bbq, light up the grill and throw on some meat. This home offers the amenities you need to enjoy your time in the city.

Summary: House looked great for the most part, pool was not usable, dirty and needs repair, front window was caved in, oven was full of grease, found that out the hard way when we turned it on and house was filled with smoke, very little kitchen equipment, frying pans needs to be thrown out, no oven mits, people renting shouldn’t have to go buy anything to use the kitchen other then food. Very little pressure in showers, had to get the airator out of the master bathroom sink to get any water out, very dirty. Killed many large cockroaches inside the home.

Summary: Coffee maker didn’t work, had a back up in cabinets but was full of old molded coffee grounds but was able to clean it and make it work. Had instructions for us to take out the trash but no replacement bags. A long ways from anywhere to do anything. Ended up renting a hotel room on the river walk for two of the nights because we got tired of driving.

Summary: Lovely home, spacious, clean, close to the areas we wanted to go. Home was stocked well with things we needed. Oh, and after a day of sight-seeing, we had the lovely pool to come home too.

Summary: The property was nice and even better than the photos showed, but the host threatened to kick us out after the first night. We locked ourselves out on the first night but luckily (or maybe unluckily?) we found an unlocked window beside the front door. We removed the bug screen and opened the window and unlocked the door from inside. The next morning I received a message saying that this action of entering through an unlocked window was a breach of the rental agreement and I needed to vacate the premises immediately. I called the host to question the decision and they immediately relented and said it was ok but not to do it again and call if needed. We were able to stay the remainder of our four day rental but I thought that was needlessly aggressive. Plus, after we left the rental, I was notified that the owner submitted a bogus claim that that the window was broken for $900! Thank goodness I had purchased the rental insurance and was not liable for any of the “damages”. Great property and a fine location but renter beware!
