aqua Elite Bold Stump Cottage is a newly built home located in Turner Shores Association in Lakeside, Michigan. The home is just 1.5 blocks from a private association beach on Lake Michigan. This neighborhood has so much history which included a peach orchard that became a popular place to pitch a tent in the summer back in the 20th Century. Then eventually lots were sold and cottages were built which is now Turner Shores. Bold Stump Cottage is a two story brand new home which includes top notch furnishings and features 6 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, two screened porches, a large open concept kitchen/dining room, outdoor game room and yard. This home is just steps to the private association beach. The first floor features a living room with a fireplace, den with TV and sectional, an open concept kitchen/dining room with access to the first screened porch and the primary bedroom with a king bed and a beautiful bathroom that includes a walk in shower and large soaking tub. The primary bedroom has it's own private screened porch also. As you make your way to the second floor you will find five bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed, second bedroom has a king bed, the third bedroom has a queen bed, the fourth bedroom has 2 twin beds and a crib and the fifth bedroom has a queen bed. Other amenities this home features is radiant heat throughout, game room with Foosball and Ping Pong, wine fridge, outdoor shower, gas grill and electric car charger. The private association beach is just a block and a half from the house and has no stairs. Enjoy your fire on the beach after a day at the beach.
Restaurants are a short drive from the house as well as the grocery store. The area has so much to explore including antique malls, shops, restaurants, galleries, wineries, breweries, state parks and so much more. Please note: In lieu of a Refundable Damage Deposit (providing a credit card for damages), Aqua charges a non-refundable fee (included in the quote before booking) which provides up to $3000 of coverage towards unintentional rental property damages. Also travel insurance is optional.

Summary: We really enjoyed this beautiful, spacious and well-appointed home in a quiet community a short walk from a nice private beach. Perfect backdrop for our group of longtime friends to escape and catch up with one another for a milestone birthday getaway. Very clean and it looks exactly like the photos. Wifi worked well. We had no issues and would stay here again.

Summary: The good:The house is beautiful, well-maintained, and spacious. It's a short walk to a private beach, which has plenty of beach area. The kitchen is very sleek and updated. The two three-season rooms are very pleasant places to sit.The less-than-good:There isn't really a good group gathering / hangout area. If the weather isn't good, the main hangout area can be tight with six adults and kids. There also isn't a basement - and limited outdoor space - so if you have younger kids, they will be in everything. The bed frames seemed a little dated, which meant they were rather squeaky and woke us up. The bad:Each guest was given one towel. There were some washcloths. And nothing else. This was less than ideal, especially with kids. Even worse, when we asked the hosts for additional towels, they refused multiple times. I'm not sure why they draw that line in the sand, but for over 1,000 a night, I'd expect better.Overall:Great location and house for smaller, more mature adult gatherings. In the future, we will likely look for alternative options in the area that are more kid-friendly.

The beach was a short walk. My only feedback is the wifi was down the whole time, along with poor cell service. Also the AC was a bit finicky which was okay because it ended getting cooler, but would be a problem in the middle of summer.

The home is large and well stocked with amenities and appliances, and set in a quiet neighborhood mere minutes walk from the lakefront. We had a group of 8 people and there was plenty of room for us without getting in each other's way. One of our highlights was the large kitchen that connected to the dining area - it allowed us to cook and eat and chat without splitting up. The living quarters are spacious and updated. Honestly, there isn't a single thing I would change - we had a wonderful weekend.

The home’s interior was beautifully done and made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. We spent a lot of time on the sun porch off the kitchen and the kids loved the game room. All of the bedrooms were spacious yet cozy and the beds were very comfortable. It was a lovely short walk to the beach and the outdoor shower was key! It had so many amenities that made our stay like a home away from home. We highly recommend Bold Stump to any group and we can’t wait to return!

Summary: This was the perfect home for our family vacation to Lake Michigan. Plenty of space for 6 adults and 6 teenagers. The proximity to the beach was wonderful. Just a short walk to the beautiful private neighborhood beach. The bonus outdoor space with game room was a hit with the kids. The large kitchen is well equipped for meals at home with plenty of seating. Large bathrooms, comfortable beds, and welcoming decor. We loved our stay and hope to return in the future. Thank you!
