We are located on the relaxing shores of Lake Michigan in Lakeside MI, just five miles north of the Indiana border.
Our cottages and Lake House are set on a 2 acre fenced in and landscaped lot with 200 feet of sandy private beach. This VRBO listing is for Cottage #1.
This cottage has two bedrooms and can sleep 4-6 guests. One bedroom has a queen bed, while the other bedroom has two twin beds. There are also two futon/couches in the living room. In addition, this cottage includes a private picnic table, lawn furniture, and grill.
On the beach we have a large fire pit, picnic table, beach chairs and umbrellas, assorted beach toys, as well as 2 kayaks and two row boats for our guests to use.
A total of 24 guests can be supported between all of our units. Perfect for family reunions or large get togethers! We have been providing memorable vacations to families for over 60 years.
***Please note our property is set on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. We have approximately 100 stone steps from the yard to the beach. This can be difficult for guests with certain health and joint problems. We do have multiple rest benches along the stairs to take rest breaks.***

Summary: We absolutely loved it! Very simple and quaint! The stairs are a great workout! The private Beach area was great! I can't wait to stay at this property again the host, Paul, was an absolute delight to talk to and became our 8 year old new bestie! Couldn't have asked for a better experience overall!!!

Summary: My husband and I enjoy our stay on this property. We could not believe how beautiful the night sky was and we saw several shooting stars. We enjoyed kayaking, walking on the beach, and a romantic sunset view on the beach. Communication was great with the owner and we felt very well cared for. The fire pit was great and we enjoyed making smores. We also enjoyed the BBQ. It was a great location for us and exactly what we wanted.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The steps going down to the beach were beautiful and challenging. Lol! The overgrowth of some of the foliage around the cottages could use some attention, but the place was still welcoming. We will definitely be going back!

Summary: Our family of four enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at Lat's Cottages! The rental was clean, had everything we needed, and the hosts couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. The property is beautiful with lots of space for kids to run around, picnic/campfire areas, and of course the private BEACH (with many steep stairs down, though we appreciated the handrail and lighted path). Also a short walk to coffee and other local attractions. Thanks for the memories and hope to visit again!

Summary: The cottages are in a great location with the potential of accommodating large groups. The Lake Michigan beach access is perfect with many gathering areas and equipment for enjoying the lake and beach. The host (Paul) is very accommodating and easy to get along with. Overall, I would recommend to anyone looking to get some peace and quiet and make great memories on the lake!
