This is a beautiful, peaceful retreat for winter, spring, or summer. Whether sitting out under the overhead string lights at night or on one of the many decks, this house has an awesome view of Smith Lake to enjoy from the deck, living room, or screened-in porch! It is conveniently located near Smith Lake Park, Speegle's Marina, Smith Lake Zipline, Slippery Summit Aqua Park, WildWater Park (slides, wavepool, etc), Whitlock's Cafe, 2 produce stands, other restaurants, & only 6 miles from I-65, Exit 305 (County Road 222). Cappy's Boat Rental is less than 1/4 of a mile from the Whitehouse. It’s a perfect location to make memories with family or friends!
This house has 5 bedrooms, including a double-bunk room with a television. There are two full bathrooms and 1 washer/ 2 dryers. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything to make your stay easy & enjoyable. Lots of seating areas inside and outside. For your entertainment, there is a game room in the basement with a pool table, dart board, and a Foosball table, as well as a mounted television. On first floor you’ll find board games and lots of dvds to choose from. Two kayaks and a paddle board are also provided for your use.
This property offers tons of room outdoors for enjoying the view of the lake while relaxing or sunning on one of the spacious decks or enjoying your morning coffee on the screened-in porch. Charcoal grill & gas grill (with gas provided) are on the deck for cooking out as well as fire pit with seating for cooking your hotdogs and s'mores! Lots of graveled parking included for guests and boat trailers.
Wander down the easy, winding rock pathway to the pier which has a 10 x 14 swim deck on dock. There is room to tie up your boats or wave runners to dock and side of ramp. There is also a boat ramp 1/4 mile from the Whitehouse to launch your boats for a $5 donation (put in box). You can also park trailers (if needed beside Cappy's -launch in front if Cappy's Boat Rental).
All four tvs are Roku- living room, game room, kids' room, and master bedroom with strong WiFi.
**Please inquire about additional weekly and monthly discounts during fall and winter off-season dates. Great for business trips or interim housing needs.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The dock does not have water under it when the water level is 502 or below (this is in early fall sometimes, winter, & very early spring); however, there is always water access from the lot. Send a message to the property manager for more information about the current lake water level or check smithlake.info for current level.

Summary: This is our second time staying here for Thanksgiving. My father, husnabnd and teen boys love hanging out by the fire ring area and game room. The home always has all the cookware we need to make a meal, a huge plus for us.

Summary: Home away from home. I had all the info I needed upon arrival. It was as easy as coming home. The property owner was at my discretion through text our entire stay. She made our vacation a dream. In my rental itinerary, she included attractions around Smith Lake. The attractions includes; restaurants, water parks, marinas, and boat rentals. The rental unit was immaculately clean. She left a few snacks for us weary travelers when we arrived. When I walked through the door I was at peace, relaxed and comfortable. This will be one of our frequent get away spots. We are a family of ten and we had plenty of space. Thanks for sharing your place with us. See you again soon. The Kilmers

Summary: This rental has everything that you will need when staying on the lake. Kayaks, life jackets, and paddle board were all provided. All of the cooking materials that you could need along with some basic spices. The grounds are beautiful and the house sleeps a lot people comfortably. The owner was very responsive with any questions. They even provide some snacks and basic essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, soap, etc… i highly recommend this rental.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at the Whitehouse and our very first time on Smith Lake! The house had everything we needed in the kitchen. The grill(s) cooked well also. The game room was a hit, especially with the kids. Very clean, homey feel. All the kids slept on the couch (instead of bunk beds one night) and said the couch was super comfy to sleep on. Plenty of room for our party of 13. We used the fire pit for s’mores one night until we couldn’t take the heat outside any longer! Smith lake was absolutely beautiful and we can not wait to return! Would definitely recommend staying here. Owners were super easy to communicate with, even checked on us during our stay, and left some yummy snacks for us.

Summary: The Whitehouse was a great place to call home away from home. The house was very well equipped. The amount of towels and washcloths available to our group was soooo very helpful. The kitchen is very well stocked. The beds were all comfortable. We loved having access to a washer and dryer and would’ve utilized the second set as well with our group if it hadn’t been broken by a previous renter. We enjoyed the game room and the kayaks. Communication with Sherry was great and she was more than happy to answer all of my questions and offer recommendations. Thank you for having nice toilet paper! 😂 My only recommendation would be to have the cleaning staff turn the air down to around 70 earlier in the day before guests check in. It was warm in the house and hot in the game room when we arrived and took all of the first day and some of the night to lower the temp enough in both areas to be comfortable.
