Summary: We enjoyed being in a beautiful location. The lake view from the windows and the backyard were incredible. The cottage was adequately stocked for basic cooking. The living room was spacious with plenty of seating. The door frames and window ledges were full of dead bugs. The tablecloth had crumbs on it from a previous stay. We were hoping to be able to swim. The owner said we could swim at our own risk, but upon arrival it was clearly unsafe due to big rocks and no easy access to the water. Our kids were disappointed. During our stay, we opened the bedroom door and realized the top hinge was broken. We kept the door propped open for the remainder of the stay and were charged 80 dollars to fix it after we checked out. Overall, basic cottage with no swimming access. Cleanliness was fair. Unfortunate experience after check out being charged for opening a door that was clearly already broken. We would not stay in this cottage again.

Summary: The property was exactly as described, very cozy and very clean. The sound of the lake, the quiet, the atmosphere, everything contributed to the overall peaceful sensation we enjoyed at the lake. The only downfall was that the check in process was a little stressful, as the exact checkin process was not described until we got into direct contact with the owner, who was very nice. But the local towns were very nice and friendly, including several nice lighthouses and tourist areas.

Summary: This is a great location for some peace and quiet! A couple of things I'd note are how close the neighboring properties are, and how many bugs there are in the summer. Some of the windows shouldn't be left open because there are tears in the screens which allows the bugs in. Once figured out we were able to keep those closed and that helped. This location is absolutely beautiful outside. A great view of the lake. Make sure you get your groceries before coming as the closest place will be 15 minutes away. The host was extremely responsive and helpful when needed. We would stay here again.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. The spectacular sunsets every evening were amazing and different everyday. We enjoyed watching the birds, playing on the rocks, and swimming. Nice cozy cottage with picturesque setting!

Summary: The rental was perfect for a group of five friends getting away for the weekend. It's in a quiet neighborhood and the lake was so peaceful! The house was eclectic with it's furnishings, was very clean, and had everything organized. The fire pit is in the perfect spot to see the sunset over the lake. We checked out the Amish store and the state park with the lighthouse down the road recommended by Lucille, which were fun stops.

Summary: We are all quite familiar with this area and the lake. We have an annual family reunion not too far from here. This was a great place to be right on the lake to enjoy all of our down time. The place is very spacious, it had everything you need. No close by grocery, so you must come prepared! We did and all went very well! Bedroom number one was comfortable, Bedroom number two was usable, odd bed frame that moves in weird ways. Bedroom number three was used as a place to store or luggage, it was tiny with bunk beds (great for small kids). The living room area is huge and so comfortable with several big old couches. It was a favorite gathering spot as was the deck and fire pit area. Don't expect it to be glamorous, but rather usable and functional. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Summary: On lake Ontario, beautiful sunsets. Well supplied fairly clean. House needs upgrades. Molding comes off bathroom wall. Door nob falls apart leaving one stuck in bathroom. Beds and furniture need upgrades. Wifi password is confusing. 2 different ones. Storm door slams. Lane leading to the house filled with Chuck holes.

Summary: What a great, simple cottage on the lake. If you’re looking for an escape to a quite, beautiful place this is it. The cottage isn’t too far from anything you need, the nearby towns have lovely little stores and pleasant people. The lake and the sunsets alone would have been enough but having a clean, nice place to stay right on the lake way great. I couldn’t say enough good about our stay there. We will definitely be coming back!
