One minute's walk from the beach, Placid Cottage located at 'Plumtucket' -is a charming 1½ story year-round cottage artfully designed & appointed. Placid Cottage offers an island ambiance and dramatic interiors!
This one-bedroom that sleeps four is stunning! 17' ceilings, central air, 2-car parking! This cottage has an open breezy living space, a modern (gas range, microwave, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops) fully appointed and applianced (everything from a crockpot to a submersible blender) kitchen, a cozy gas fireplace, a top of the line comfy queen bed, a memory foam pullout and a relaxed comfortable outside dining area complete with a gas grill. Although you are away, stay connected with wi-fi and streaming music and video through the flat screen. The island has everything you need. However, if you must head off island, city amenities abound in Newburyport, which include shopping, farm to table restaurants, bars with live music, performing art centers, free concerts and much more.

Summary: It’s rare to find a vacation property for two people that has all the amenities, is in a great location, and is actually affordable. Plumtucket checks all the boxes, and Ed is a great host.

Summary: We had a great time. The cottage is beautiful. It had everything that you could require. The location is fantastic. Downtown Newburyport is a 5 - 10 minute ride down the road. The only issue was the access to the beach was just a little too steep. It seems that it could be regraded as a more gradual walkway. We found ways around that and had a great time. We highly recommend Placid Plumtucket Cottages. Dave&Diane C.

Summary: This was the perfect place for the escape that I needed! The cottage was as pictured...beautiful and clean with everything you would need. Close to the beach, and a short drive to Newburyport for great restaurants and ambiance of a seaside town. I can't wait to go back :)
