'Almost Bayside' (formerly known as Bayside II) is a well appointed, WATER VIEW, 3-bedroom duplex located just off of South Main Street on the quiet southern end of the island. This spacious, nearly 2,000 sq ft. home offers a family of up to 8 an open floor plan with plenty of space to enjoy. The home has 3 decks - 2 facing the Chincoteague Bay, and a large rear screened porch to enjoy the evenings and the aroma from dinner cooking on the charcoal grill. Features include a great kitchen (with all appliances) adjoining the dining room, a bright and open living room with a fireplace and game/puzzle area, cable TV, wireless internet, and a master bath with jetted tub. The downtown shops, Memorial Park, Pony Swim area, beach, and the sights and sounds of Main St. and Maddox Blvd. are a short ride away, but far enough to get away from the hustle and bustle. Have a larger group? Combine Almost Bayside with any of our other close-by homes - Sunset Dreams or Logan's Sunset. Note: Almost Bayside does not include water access or access to the dock. Summary: We loved our stay at this condo in Chincoteague. It was roomy, clean and thoughtfully stocked. Contact with and from the rental company was fabulous. We had a cold weekend in March so the fireplace was a very welcome feature. We loved the location but had a bit of trouble finding it with Apple maps in the dark! I would stay again anytime!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our Staige at this property and on Chincoteague in general. The only negative as not having access to a dock in order to watch the sunsets (actually one was not marked private, so we went out on it to watch the sunset the first night, but then got reprimanded and chased off the second night! If the owner could negotiate access, that would make this place perfect) Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend the property and would rent again.

Summary: Quick story... We were forced to change our vacation because of the remnants of a hurricane coming up the coast. It was as easy as asking. Thank you for that. I wasn't really thrilled with the thought of November weather but it worked out. A little cold but nice. I can't say enough about the house. There was only 5 of us, plus a puppy, but it was big enough for 10. The house was clean and very well maintained. It had all the necessities plus some little extras that were very well thought out. I would recommend this property in a heartbeat and I guarantee that we will be returning. My thanks to the owner and everyone envolved it making our getaway possible. God bless.

Summary: I stayed here with my husband, two sons, and dog for 2 nights. It’s a great location, only 5-10 minutes away from restaurants and Assateague to see the ponies. It was clean and cozy with more than enough room for us. We needed a place that was pet friendly and the pet fee was much more reasonable than some locations.
