I am a deeded owner at Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort Villas & Spa with a reserved week during New Years Week, it is a 7 nights-8 days stay in the best located resort in the middle of the Cancun hotel zone.This is a AAA Four Diamond-rated resort with all the amenities and services available for you to enjoy an amazing experience with your loved ones.
It's a 1,150 sq. feet 2 Bedroom villa with Full Kitchen and also a Kitchenette with everything you need to cook and serve. It features 2 full bathrooms with Jacuzzi each and 2 washer & dryer in unit. 3 Tv's and 2 balconies to enjoy the beautiful Caribbean Ocean.
All the villas feature Ocean View and you will get assigned your villa location when you check in.

Summary: The Westin has seen better days. Our 2 rooms had obstructed/partially obstructed views and were right over the sports bar which lead to some loud nights. The heavenly bed sheets were pilled and the comforter provided for the couch bed was stained and ripped. It did have a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. And the connecting rooms were great for our party of five. The food at the Westin was awful - how can you have bad guacamole in Mexico? But 2 of our party drank the water and never got sick. We played mini golf and used the pool and water aerobics classes. The market at the resort charges 12$ us for a bag of doritos and the same for a rubber ball - you really have to go somewhere else for supplies. Luckily other options arenโ€™t that far away. The beach is not for swimming. There are red flags everyday. I asked the lifeguard if it was just our week - nope, he said the only swimmable beaches were up closer to the riu palace near Isla Mujeres. There were people allowed in the water even though it was a red flag and we got the excitement of watching several rescues a day! The hotel was beautiful and we never felt unsafe. There were a few vendors on the beach but no one irritating.
