The Deer Lake Escape is located on beautiful, spring-fed Deer Lake in Clinton, Washington, just 5 minutes' drive from the ferry. It offers 2 bedrooms with Queen beds, and another bedroom with two Twin beds. There is a living room, patio, and kitchen. The owners live upstairs. The Deer Lake Escape has its own private entrance, and there are no shared areas.
You'll enjoy stunning views of the lake through over-sized windows. A lake-level patio with ample seating, Weber barbecue grill, and granite buffet table is steps away from 100 ft of lake front and is for the exclusive use of the Deer Lake Escape. The outdoor furniture and grill are stored in the boathouse for the rainy season but can be made available on request.
The full kitchen is situated next to the outdoor patio and Weber grill, making entertaining outside by the lake a snap. The downstairs kitchen features granite counter-tops, full refrigerator, and a wine fridge, and a full oven-range combo.
In the summer-extended season, the outdoor patio is furnished with a dining table, lounge chairs, giant outdoor beanbags, propane grill, propane fire pit, and a wood-burning fire pit with natural log seating. In the winter, we can provide some outdoor furniture, weather permitting.
Two bedrooms have queen beds. The first has an amazing lake view, while the other is a bit larger and has a garden view. A full bathroom with a shower/bath combo serves all guests.
In the family room is a 65” TV with a sound bar, and access to Netflix. HDMI cables are provided so that you can attach a laptop with your own entertainment, such as Amazon Prime or Hulu. The TV swivels from the wall to offer perfect viewing and tucks out of the way when not in use.
The third bedroom is great for kids, where a hanging chair is suspended from the twenty-foot ceiling. There are two twin beds that can be moved together or apart as needed.
Also in the family room is a dining table, and a stocked game cabinet. A bar with mini-fridge and coffee and tea station is complete with a quality coffee maker, fresh coffee bean grinder, thermal carafe, electric kettle, and bone-china mugs that won’t overheat in the microwave.
Off of the bathroom, you’ll find a laundry room with modern washer and dryer.
Wonderful, spring-fed Deer Lake offers fishing, swimming, boating, paddle-boarding, and whatever else you can think of to do on a lake! Motorboat access is across the lake at the public dock and is limited to three boats at a time; jet skis are not allowed. Boating hours are limited and there is plenty of peaceful time for paddle-boarders, kayaks, and swimmers.
Eagles, osprey, many varieties of diving ducks, and river otters all call Deer Lake home. Come make some memories at this incredible escape on a lake on an island!
*There are two fireplaces that appear in the photos, but they are non-operational. However, there are two fire pits outside: one propane and one wood.

Summary: The location on a lake was beautiful and peaceful. The beds were very comfortable. The property was very clean and had lots of light. The kitchen had all the necessities for heating up leftovers or making a meal. The host met us upon arrival and offered to get kayaks out for us if we wanted to go out on the lake. I wish we could have stayed another day!

Summary: Well first we were greeted with a wonderful lighting path when we were in the house the warm feeling blasted through our bodies, there was a great amount of room inside the building then the showering water was smoothing the lake was also very calm. The view from the house to the lake was perfect, we also took some pictures. Over all the vacation was awesome. Again thank you for the incredible house to borrow from you.

Summary: We had the most amazing time on this trip. This house is absolutely great for kids! There are tons of games and toys and plenty of fun things to do. The house was well appointed with all the amenities you could hope for. The beds were all very cozy and the view is absolutely breathtaking! I can’t wait to come back! We all miss it already!

Summary: This is our second year staying at this wonderful property on Deer Lake. We had a group of 9 (my family, my brother's family, and our folks) and had a great time. As before, the house interior was clean and neat when we arrived :) Grandpa particularly loved "the completeness of the package including everything down to the condiments inside and the floaties outside." Gramma loved that it was spaciousness enough for 9 family members, without being crowded; that the house was well-stocked basic supplies; and the large variety of activities for wide range of ages (books, games, musical instruments, internet, television). We all love the private beach area, and the many different water accessories (PDFs, kickboards, noodles, paddle boards, canoe, flotation aids), as well as all the owner's thoughtful touches, like smoked salmon and local wine, welcome signs, and when there was an issue w the ice maker, they brought ice AND ice cream!

Summary: for our adult family of 5 plus a friend, this property was wonderful. house was well appointed, indoors and out. paddle boards & canoe were an amazing bonus though we did discover that I am NOT a good canoe paddler! the upper deck is large w/ no access to the yard/lake but this served us well as our autistic son was able to pace/stim out there w/o us worried about the water. the downstairs kitchen made spending the afternoon outside very easy. one of us had to work during the day so she put the table in the downstairs kitchen and worked. it was perfect. our noise didn't disturb her and we didn't have to be quiet because she was tucked away. we'd hoped the room with the couch would serve her well but it is a loft room that is open to the main floor. this is the only "negative." the layout of the sleeping rooms. although it was perfect for us, as a very close family, some people may not appreciate the loft style of 3 of the rooms. the sleeping loft was perfect for us because of our need to calm our autistic son at night. no sound privacy between these rooms but it's easy to close off sight lines. the Main room was Amazing! the view, the closet, the shower! Amazing! it was a wonderful vacation for our spread out family in a wonderful location with very nice hosts. we even locked ourselves out one day and they were quick w a response to let us back in. we will absolutely stay here again at the lake house on the island.

Summary: Absolutely fantastic space, couldn’t have asked for a better place to be. Kids had a blast on the paddle boards, swimming, and fishing. Adults had a blast acting like kids. Lots to do on Whidbey, but to be honest, were all more than content just doing nothing and hanging out in and around the lake. Look forward to visiting again!

Summary: This is our third time back at this amazing property! We love the serene setting, the views from all parts of the house, the lovely lake, the various nooks and crannies in the house to sit and read, and the wonderful hosting team! This year, we were treated to several juvenile bald eagles soaring overhead and diving into the water for fish. Amazing! The lake is quiet (there are designated hours for motorboats) and lovely to paddle on and swim in. The house has all the things you'll need for your stay (and then some!) and Shawn & Owen along with Jennifer who works with them are the loveliest of hosts. This place is a gem and our whole family loves it!

Summary: We had a great time at your lake house! Shawn & Owen are fantastic!!! They add small things to make the stay absolutely great! The house is beautiful, comfortable, very well equipped and clean, and the location what makes it unforgettable. The lake is beautiful and clean, great for swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing, seating under the apple tree or roasting hot dogs and marshmallows in the fire pit !
