Please be our guest at Artisan Beach Home on Sunlight Beach. Our home has elegant touches throughout and best of all, when you step out the back door you are right on the beach! Enjoy life at the beach, the beauty of the water, wildlife and boats and ships as they pass by.
Located right on Sunlight Beach on Useless Bay, just about everything on the south end is within a 10 minute drive.
The house has 3 levels. You enter at the street level which has a large bedroom with king bed and 2 twins (partially separated with dresser, but all one room), a living area with kitchenette (fridge, coffee pot, counter) and dining table. There is a bathroom with a shower. This level has direct access to the garage which is where laundry is. The 2nd, or main level, is a flight of stairs up. This floor has an open kitchen/dining/living area with a wall of windows looking out on the beach. There is beautiful custom cabinetry throughout the main floor. A few steps down from the living area, brings you to 2 of the bedrooms - 1 king bed (TV in this room) and 1 queen bed. There is a full bath with shower/tub combo and a powder room in between the 2 bedrooms. The top floor is a flight up from the kitchen area and has our 4th bedroom which was just added for July 2024 (it was an open loft area prior). The door to the deck, yard and beach is just off of the kitchen. We have outdoor lounge and dining seating. A gas grill on the deck, a gourmet kitchen with a full array of pots & pans, serving dishes, kids dishes, and great eating out options, will mean you are sure to enjoy every meal here!
We can accommodate up to 10 guests total with a maximum of 8 adults.
Close proximity to Seattle, Port Townsend, Anacortes, and the San Juan Islands should you want to take a day trip somewhere. Deception Pass, the most visited State park in all of Washington, is at the north end of the island, just over a 1 hour drive. Great shopping, parks, hikes, and local attractions, may keep you right here on the south end; even if you come for a week or two!
This is a high end, quality custom built home, with hardwood and slate floors, beautiful wood cabinetry and lovely art and décor throughout!

Summary: What we loved about this home was even though it is a large home, it felt cozy and inviting. We were a group of five women and were able to all have our own bedrooms. The living room, dining area and kitchen are all open to each other which made for ease of all being together while we prepared meals. We spent most of our afternoons on the deck around the table and the beach out front. Can’t beat the southern exposure and sunsets.

Summary: Stayed 4 days with my Daughters family, including her sons (6&10). We all had a blast. The beach was right out the back door. They built sandcastles to watch the tide come in, figuring out strategies for reinforcements before the next high tide. We all walked the flats revealed when the tide when out. Lots of sand dollars burying themselves in the sand, tiny crabs under logs, watching the fish in the tidepools. Lots of seating available so we adults could watch them in comfort as they played on the beach. Exactly what we wanted to do for vacation. The house itself was A, beds were comfortable, bathrooms as listed, parking easy, all appliances worked, definitely exceeded my expectations after looking at several VRBO listings available for the dates I needed.There are lots of things to see and do in the area too. We went somewhere every day, to Langley to visit the chocolate flower farm and the whale center. We went to the Meerkerk Gardens which were beautiful and in season. Fort Casey Historical park which turned out to be outstanding for everyone. All within an easy drive fitting around the tide schedule.

Summary: Five of us, all best friends from college, enjoyed a no-spouses, no-kids long weekend at this beautiful costal property. The setup of the house was ideal for our needs, with enough bedrooms and bathrooms, separation of bedrooms over 3 floors and a separate 1st floor gathering space, for both community and privacy. The large great room / open kitchen had enough seating for all of us, and really enhanced communication and relaxation. We hugely enjoyed the fabulous south-facing Puget Sound view, sand right off the back deck, and the best-stocked kitchen I have ever experienced in a rental property. Even the knives were sharp! The well-stocked kitchen is key on Whidbey, as there are a few restaurants, but there is limited seating and the pizza place closes at 7pm. Vacationers should consequently plan to cook at least half of their meals, which was a delight in this kitchen! Fortunately, there's a good grocery store 1/2 mile away. The fireplace was also key, and we enjoyed a fire each night. We had one foible with the door handle on arrival, and Patty, the local property manager was extremely responsive. She even continued to check in with us during our stay. The whole experience was so positive that we are already planning our next trip! Thank you for providing such outstanding accomodations for our reunion weekend!

Summary: This beach house is the perfect getaway—just minutes from Langley and the ferry, and right on the beach. The home is beautifully appointed, with comfortable beds and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Communication with the host was quick and easy. Highly recommend!

Summary: The house was lovely and provided great accommodations for four friends. The living area was very comfortable and kitchen well stocked. The view was spectacular both at high and low tides. The management was easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

Summary: A very comfortable and lovely home with a fantastic 180 degree view of beach, water and mountains. Spacious, attractively decorated, light filled home with a well equipped kitchen and fantastic deck. A very friendly neighborhood. Lots of wild life viewing from rabbits to Osprey and Red Tail Hawks. Communication with management was quick, easy and excellent. And it's a great location for exploring the island's small towns and state/county parks.

Summary: We loved our stay here - the view is amazing. We were happy to find that the kitchen was well stocked and loved the layout. The lower area is perfect for families with smaller children because it is separated from the rest of the home. We had a great time and plan to return!
