Positive: The location was good between 2 metro stations and the buses. The unit was on the 5th floor with nice outlook. We stayed 5 nights, and that was enough.
Negative: Our first impression came from a message telling us that any stock of the host was not at our disposal, the purpose of our stay was to be comfortable not pinch someone stuff, or better still lock it away, the fridge feezer smelt of out of date seafood stored in the fridge, bathroom was full of make-up. You also need to be comfortable sleeping only inches off the floor, the bed might be ok for early 20's but for late 60's this was not suitable, and squeeked evertime you so much as moved, it was no higher than my shins. The shower head was not mounted to the wall in the bath, so you need to hold it while showering. There was dirty washing in the laundry basket and I had to hang out the washing that was in the machine before I could use it. If this is OK with you than feel free to book. I haven't done a review like this in nearly 5 months overseas 😕

Positive: The apartment is large! One nicely sized room, a living room, a kitchen. Way more than you would normally get in the center of Paris for this price. The apartment was very tidy and clean, and had all that is needed for a week stay. The location, close to the RER station of Port Royal and to the Jardins de Luxembourg, is definitely a plus. It's location in a private court makes it also very quiet in the night Overall, great value for money
Negative: Some minor details could have been better. The lighting is not great and I honestly couldn't really get how the lights worked. Also, some of the power sockets seemed not to be working (or at least I didn't understand how to use them). The apartment doesn't have air conditioning and the fan didn't work. 95% of the year this isn't a problem in Paris. But if you get there (as I did) with 35+°C temperatures, it's difficult to find relief from the heat.
Summary: Great value for money for a nice, large apartment in the heart of Paris

Positive: The apartment is sweet, beautiful and very clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. It is located on a very quiet street, so the stay was peaceful and relaxing. At the same time, it is just off a main street and close to everything you may need - bars, cafes, a convenient store, a boulangerie, etc. Luxembourg Gardens are quite close, and if you enjoy walking Paris' charming streets, you could easily get almost anywhere by foot. The train line from Charles De Gaulle Airport is 9 minutes' walk from the apartment.
