Positive: We stayed here as a large family and found the place spacious and comfortable enough to accommodate all of us. The living area had a cozy fireplace (though we didn’t use it) and a well-functioning heat pump, which kept the house warm during our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, making it very convenient for a group our size. The location is great — it’s close to both the town centre and Lake Taupō, making it easy to access shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The backyard is a nice bonus, perfect for barbecues or just enjoying some fresh air outdoors.
Negative: The place was relatively clean overall. However, we did spot two cockroaches during the night, which was a bit unpleasant. The beds were okay — not the most comfortable but manageable. We also noticed that the carpet in the living room could use a deeper clean. Despite a few minor issues, the property served us well for a short family getaway and has a lot of potential. We are happy to rebook. 😊
