We are situated 170m from local shops - includes small supermarket, fish n chips, liquor store, Pub with Botanical gardens & lake close by too!
We are locals who know what is needed for a Taupo holiday and personal touches throughout. *BRAND NEW SPA POOL**
We are centrally located, five mins from the cafes, restaurants and bars of Taupo and very close to the local boat ramp.
170m down the road you can use Richmond Heights Shops which includes a small supermarket, fish 'n' chip shop, liquor store and pub - saving you loads of time drivng into town to use the busy supermarkets!
We are also stone's throw from the famous Taupo Botanic Gardens where I love to jog around the mature native NZ bush including larhge stands of Rimun and Kauri trees. It's also a great destination for kids who can wonder the many forest and garden paths looking for painted rocks that are hidden by other kids from near and far - check out the FB group online.
Two Mile Bay Sailing Club sells cold Peroni on tap and serves delicious pizzas right on the lake edge - an awesome place to take the kids to enjoy the sun and go for a swim while you are there.
The famous lakefront Lion's Walk and Cycleway links all the Taupo city bays via a great pathway you can scoot, ride, walk or run along. Loads of swimming and even fishing spots.

Summary: The photographer of the house did a fabulous job: which combined with the 950 a night we paid made us think we were renting something luxurious. However it was basically a run down beach house with a lick of paint and some reasonable furniture. The quality of the building was poor, with peeling floors, old doors and windows, missing hinges and only one small toilet and bathroom between 7 of us. Had just come from Hawkes Bay where we paid less for a longer stay in VASTLY superior accommodation. Host was polite and check in was fine. Also ‘close to the lake’ would apply to most of Taupo. I did not consider this place particularly close. Disappointing.
