Enjoy the blissful views by the shores of the beautiful Bras D’or Lake. This newly constructed waterfront home is just 2 minutes from the Village of Baddeck, which is conveniently located in central Cape Breton.
Take pleasure in the shores of the Bras D’or Lakes just steps away from your door. Spend your days enjoying all that Cape Breton Island and Baddeck has to offer. Come back to a place where you can relax on the beach, enjoy a refreshing swim or simply sit back and enjoy the view. If you feel like exploring the Bras D’or, a canoe is provided to use during your stay.
With it’s open concept living room, dining room and kitchen, this home features large windows throughout the entire house, so you won’t miss out on the spectacular scenery.
This home has two large bedrooms and one full bathroom which includes a washer and dryer. Each bedroom has a queen bed. In the living room there is also a comfortable sofa bed with an upgraded luxury queen mattress (twice the thickness of a regular sofa mattress). A crib/toddler bed is available upon request.
A heat pump has been installed for your comfort. Unlimited Starlink high speed wireless internet included. For your entertainment, a smart tv has been provided. Features include youtube, Netflix and many more. A Netflix account is available for your use during your stay. Please not, there is no Satelittle or Cable TV available, but there are many lice stream channels available for your use.
Let this be your home away from home.
Guests have access to the entire home. The property features over 230ft of waterfront. Guests have use of a canoe (lifejackets provided). Any boats with motors, are for owners use only. Beach is shared with owners, along with our two young children who enjoy playing outdoors by the water.
Owners reside on the property in a separate residence. Pets reside on the property. We have free range chickens and two dogs (medium and small). We are always available to assist you with any questions or concerns should any arise. Feel free to call/ text or message.

Summary: Cape Breton is worth a travel and this home is the perfect spot for exploring the island. The house is very clean, comfortable, extremely well equipped and has perfect hosts with Kristine and her family. Sitting at the table you have a wonderful view on the lake and the passing birds incl. bald eagles. Each attraction of the island can be reached within aprx. one hour. And for the lazy days: The beach is just in front of the house and the wonderful Baddeck with its shops, restaurants und the theatre worth a visit is round the corner. A perfect place zo stay!

Summary: This is the cleanest and most well equipped home we have ever rented. The lovely lake views (and access) were such a delight on mist-filled mornings. And the home is conveniently located in the middle of the island. Kristine was a wonderful host!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. Very nice house, very spacious, very very clean, well layed out, well stocked, even had coffee. Sugar, and filters. Close to Baddeck and a gas station. Beautiful and quiet location. As I have already mentioned to the owner, the only thing we didn't enjoy was the warm temps and that the one air conditioner didn't cool the bedrooms and there were no celing fans or floor fans. I'd certainly rent the property again but only if fans were provided.

Summary: The house was very clean and stocked really well with kitchen items and even bath items. The view was spectacular- moon rise was striking over the lake. Location was very handy for many places on Cape Breton. Wonderful stay!

Summary: We were a family of 3 - The property has 2 large bedrooms, new and extremely clean, a very well equipped kitchen with a terrific view of the water. When my son lost his iPhone in the lake, the owner immediately lent us 2 goggles to help locate and retrieve the iPhone. 2 kayaks were available at all times and Kristine, the owner, even helped us find a pontoon to rent in Baddeck. Very well located, only a few minutes from Baddeck. Wish we could have stayed longer! Dr Michael E

Summary: My family and I had a wonderful stay. Everything we could possibly need was available and then some! An extremely clean and well kept cottage, with amazing views. Kristine was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. We loved our time there and hope to be back next summer.

Summary: This was by far the most amazing experience I’ve had staying in a cottage in NS. It had EVERYTHING we needed and more! Nothing beats waking up to the amazing view of the lake and kayaking early in the morning. The cottage was super clean when we arrived and the hosts were amazing, giving us our privacy but always a phone call away if you ever needed a hand. I definitely hope to be back someday!
