Summary: We enjoyed a few days at Connie’s place. The kitchen is well equipped and there are tons of games, books and movies. We had a very relaxed enjoyable stay.

Summary: Acquainted little property by the water in a quiet neighbourhood. Half way location for the main tourist areas. Connie was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and activities. She was also reliable and quick to response with any issues/ concerns we had via text.

Summary: Beach ( rock & shells ) house right at the water. Comfortable and amazing views. They had binoculars. There are some steps to get into the house and the second bedroom is down some stairs. Easy drive to Victoria to the south and Nanaimo to the north, and inland. You won’t be disappointed!

Summary: Very little to say that the pictures do not already cover... Unbelievable location right on the water, with expansive views. Huge patio area with lots of seating for a variety of sun or shade views, plus large windows throughout the waterside of the home for those times you want to be indoors, but not miss out on the views. Lot's of great wildlife viewing as well. Everything you need right in the very small town of Mill Bay allows for a great retreat vacation. Or pop over to Shawnigan Lake for even more options (and some really great Thai food). Good proximity to all of the best of the island allows for as much action packed into each day as you desire. Very easy access to the highway or just 5 minutes from the Brentwood Ferry to shorten the drive into Victoria. And the house itself is lovely. Nothing fancy here, but well appointed with everything you will need. Strong internet, and the best stocked kitchen of any house we've ever rented. Super easy check-in, check-out, and Connie is fantastic to work with -- attentive and available for anything you need. It is hard to imagine how this home could disappoint.

Summary: We really enjoyed our time at this property! Some of our observations! This was the location that we wanted, between Nanaimo and Victoria. There isn’t a lot to Mill Bay, but we were prepared for quite a bit of driving. The property is right on the water. The canoe and the two kid size kayaks were loads of fun. The house is extremely well stocked, everything from firewood to board games, to kitchen supplies and loads of towels. Lots of space in the house. 2 bedrooms and a pull out couch. Lovely family room with a couch and a few chairs to sit and look out over the water. On-site laundry was super helpful after days of hiking. We did find quite a few ants in the basement bedrooms when we arrived, so we had to deal with them before bedtime. Hauling the canoe and kayaks down the stairs was tricky. I was grateful that I was there with my husband and teenage son. I would not have been able to do that on my own and it was such a great part of our experience staying here. This is one of the more dated homes that we have stayed at, not that it’s a con, but more of a comment. Not sure if there was AC in the house and I can only imagine how hot it gets during the summer months! We would stay here again without a second thought.
