Located on the south side of 30A, this well-designed condo, Beach Hat, is just steps away from Watercolor's newly renovated Beach Club, private beach access, restaurants and shops. Throughout the home rich, honey-colored wooden floors are offset by mostly white décor, creating a serene yet welcoming space. The first level of the condo features an open concept kitchen, living and dining room flooded with natural light from a wall of windows trimmed in bamboo shades. Balconies on both levels are perfect for early mornings or late afternoons, with gorgeous Gulf views available on the second level of the condo. Upstairs on the second level, you'll also find the spacious master suite, with white board and batten walls and a natural wicker king sized bed. Beach Hat is perfect for a couple's getaway or family of four beach trip thanks to a sleeper sofa in the living room and downstairs
NOTE: When booking, please provide the correct number of adults and children that will be staying in the home. WaterColor requires a wristband for all guests, to allow access to the amenities (pool and beach) so you must provide the correct number of guests to ensure everyone will have access to the community amenities. We are not able to provide additional wristbands after your arrival, so it is imperative you inform us at least two weeks before your arrival if there is a change after the time of booking. The HOA will not allow more than 4 guests in this home at any time, and they will not issue more than 4 bands per stay. No exceptions can be made.
Many of the communities along 30A are continuing to expand, so many more individuals can come enjoy the crystal blue waters of the Panhandle. Unfortunately, a side effect of this is construction and all the items that come along with it, such as noise, road blocks, etc. We understand this can be inconvenient for our guests, which is why we have chosen to make all possible guests aware of the possibility of this during their beach vacation. As most of this is outside of 30A Cottages realm of control, we are not able to offer discounts/compensation for any noise complaints, road blockades, etc. during a guest's stay. WaterColor will only issue two parking passes per property. There is a public parking area and no designated space for this condo; parking is on a first come, first served basis and passes must be displayed at all times.
Reservation/Booking Policy
***The cancelation policy and terms of the 30A Cottages & Concierge Vacation Rental Agreement emailed to you at confirmation override any terms and policies from a third party booking site such as VRBO.com, HomeAway.com, or VacationRentals.com. We are not able to reimburse any additional service fees incurred for online bookings outside of our company website since these fees are charged by a third party. We do not offer 100% refund for cancelation at any time after the booking has been processed. A 5% cancelation fee will be charged to cover credit card and document processing for all cancelations.

Summary: Unfortunately we noticed immediately after arriving that the house smelled very musty. It smelled like mildew to the extent that we had to go and buy plug in air fresheners and sent to candles to be able to manage the smell and tolerate it a little better. On our third day of the day, I actually pulled back the top sheets and blanket off the bed and found blood on the sheets not only on the flat sheet, but some on the top sheet that was underneath the blanket. red, dried out spots of blood. I immediately emailed the property management and received absolutely no response! Being a public health, nurse, it really disgusted me since I was aware that it could be a potential health hazard to sleep on those sheets. I fully expect an immediate response and housekeeping to be out there to provide fresh sheets, but none was given. we ended up sleeping on top of the blanket and not the sheets at all for our last day there. Something like this should not be overlooked and is basically inexcusable period. Will definitely not be staying at this property again!

Summary: I thought this was a terrific condo and the perfect location from which to finally explore Watercolor and the entire 30A. We used the bicycles for hours a day (I recommend opting for a basket and headlights), being able to walk down the steps and pedal away was so convenient. We were also just steps away from the Beach Club, boardwalks to the beach, the too-adorable shops and FOOW (Fish Out of Water restaurant). We also walked or pedaled frequently to Seaside and to Grayton Beach to dine, shop at art galleries and go deep sea fishing. Another review mentioned the third story location but there is an elevator option so it's not a problem, we just enjoyed the views and the lovely treehouse feel. Only qualms in the unit is that compared to other VRBO's I've stayed in it's pretty sparse on supplies. We went to the nearby Publix to fill in with a bar of soap, TP, laundry soap, and spices (thankful for the bike basket!) Also the king bed was fine for us but very firm, as mentioned, and I wish it had a nice mattress cover - it's just a thin sheet over a hard mattress - it worked but def more utilitarian than luxurious. Overall I would happily come back to this unit.

Summary: We enjoyed the condo—it’s a long flight of stairs to the bedroom, but we knew that going in. The design is unusual, so potential tenants should study the photos. The outdoor seating spaces were much appreciated (some cushions would improve it). Location ideal for those who enjoy resort atmosphere—lots of activities, kids, etc. After staying in other Florida locations, we were surprised and somewhat offput by the invasion of golf carts and bicyclists all around—and with sub-optimal nighttime lighting it all seemed hazardous. Watercolor has everything you need, mind you, but if need/want something else—access to non-resort restaurants, easy drive to a grocery store, uncrowded beach—you’ll find it a bit disappointing. If you don’t mind wading through heavy traffic for a grocery store visit and dodging teen-age golf cart operators, you’ll enjoy a lovely condo, excellent weather, and a clean, well-managed resort.
