This beautiful house(s)in Fort Gratiot are year round private home(s) with an awesome sandy private beach, the perfect spot to watch freighter traffic on the Great Lakes.
These houses are in the middle of a beautiful small community of beach homes.
At the Yellow lakehouse (see pics) there are 5 bedrooms (three rooms with queen beds), one room with a full size bed and one room with a built-in twin.
Main level has great room with gas fireplace, big screen TV, kitchen plus open concept living/dinning area, a main floor master bedroom (queen bed) and a main floor full bath. Main level deck, outdoor seating and gas grill.
The upper level has the other 4 additional bedrooms (2 queen bedrooms). Big screen tv in the main master bedroom, Full bath and half bath. The upper deck located off of the 2 queen bedrooms has a beautiful view of Lake Huron, outdoor seating with privacy screen.
The home has central air/heat, with ceiling fans throughout the house. It has a full service kitchen with all the extras including microwave, disposal, dishwasher, coffee maker, a full complement of utensils, dishes, cookware, silverware and fire pit on the beach. All bed linens are provided. You should bring your own beach towels. Gas grill and patio furniture on both decks and around the beach fire pit.
The home is beautifully decorated. All Leather furniture - sectional, couch, love seat, recliners. 50' flat screen main floor and 42' in master bedroom upstairs, cable TV (comcast) with blueray and wireless internet included. Other extras include , a full size washer/dryer, Wine and beverage cooler, extra chairs, service tent and folding tables for outdoor entertaining.
no cold showers.....The house has endless hot water provided by a new tankless energy saving water heater.... so no worries to run out of hot water with many morning showers.
Living room has a ventless natural gas fireplace with remote.
NO POWER interuptions on your vacation as the house has a new natural gas Generac generator which will automatically restore power to the house in the event of power loss in the area.

Summary: Our stay was relaxing, owner was available quickly for any concerns. Neighborhood was friendly and clean. Water front was beautiful, just right for kids playing, rock collectors, watching sunrise with a cup of coffee in the mornings or watching freighters go by. Something for just about any age.

Summary: My family loved our stay here. We've been renting lakefront properties on Lake Huron for 15 years. This may be our favorite. Loved the views from the decks and the beach. Lots of seating indoor and outside. Thank you, such a great vacation! We hope to return soon!

Summary: Do yourself a favor and book this gorgeous property. The views of Lake Huron are startlingly beautiful, the house is large and can accommodate many people without issue (we had 6 adults and 2 kiddos with us and never felt like we were on top of each other), and most importantly the host, Mark, is a genuinely kind and helpful gentleman. He was communicative from the time we booked until we checked out. The house backs up to Lake Huron so you only have to walk down a handful of steps to reach the beach, literally in the backyard. The house was spic and span when we arrived and had pretty much everything we needed in terms of kitchen drink ware/cookware and utensils, bath towels, lounge chairs, etc. We would love to stay again. Summary: My husband and I recently traveled here with our two kids (3 and almost 1) for the week. It was really a home away from home. The house Is set up very nicely - the kitchen has everything you may need and washer and dryer definitely make the trip easier. The views out over the lake are amazing, and our 3 year old loved watching all of the large boats go by from the back sliding glass door. The area is nice and quiet and the house is in a perfect location - really great for small kids, as you don’t need to pack up and go anywhere, but can just walk down the stairs to the great little strip of beach. The house has a large deck looking out over the water and a fire pit down on the beach. There was also a great little park with walking trails nearby for the couple of days that it was a little too windy to head down to the water. Mark was incredibly accommodating and helpful- great to work with. We definitely look forward to returning.
