Tantalus Villa, Brighton Beach, St. Michael, is a luxurious beachfront property along the West Coast of Barbados. The property has a five bedroom suites on the upper two levels of the main house. It is a beautiful residence with high quality coral stone finishing and flooring throughout. The total area is approximately 4200 square feet on the upper two levels with large balconies on both levels. Each bedroom is fully air-conditioned and equipped with ceiling fans as well.
The primary feature of Tantalus Villa is the large open living area overlooking the beautiful Caribbean sea. This is a beach lovers delight as the spacious balcony overlooks the beautiful sandy beach and the aquamarine Caribbean Sea. Brighton Beach itself is one of the top swimming/beach combing areas on the west coast of Barbados and after enjoying your day on the beach or in the water, you are perfectly situated to watch another Caribbean sunset displayed in glorious color right from your balcony. Enjoy having your meals at a large round glass dining room table overlooking the ocean and just steps away from the well laid out gourmet kitchen complete with all the amenities. All the doors and windows to the outside have full movable shutters to allow the breezes and light to flow through.
There are two bedrooms and a media room plus a laundry/utility area to the back half of the lower level of this two story suite, with a further three bedrooms and fitness room in the upper level. The master bedroom on the top level is a massive room with a private verandah and views over the pool and sea. It is a stunning room with the feel of living in a luxurious tree house and you may never want to leave.
Alongside the house is a large rectangular pool with Roman steps at one end. The pool is mosaic tiled in a dark cobalt blue color that keeps it exceptionally warm throughout the year. The grounds are well developed with mature trees and shrubbery and there are over a dozen coconut and other palms along the beachfront for shade. There is a private beach access gate with outdoor shower and lounging/seating areas. Brighton Beach itself, is a wide, calm beach ideally suited for all kinds of activity. The swimming and snorkeling is very good and you can jog or walk on uninterrupted on the sand for well over a kilometer in each direction.
Other positive features are that the location is excellent for access to downtown, West Coast, Warrens and the ABC Highway.your doorstep. The property enjoys good breezes for most of the year as it is not in the shadow of the more elevated lands along the west coast. An ideal family residence in a quiet area with good security.

Summary: Beautiful residence in a most perfect location. Each family member/couple had their own room and bathroom. The master has a magnificent patio overlooking the ocean and the main floor veranda is the perfect hang-out spot for the family. JP was the perfect owner/manager assisting when needed. This property is a true memory maker.

Summary: We had an amazing stay at Tantulus. The house was well equipped, rooms comfortable, and grounds and pool/hot tub well maintained. JP was a gracious host and gave us a good overview of the property on check in, and was very helpful with recommendations. Highly recommend this property.

Summary: perfect for large or small groups, JP was very helpful and always answered our questions promptly, very friendly house keepers and grounds keeper, JP recommended an amazing chef Shelly I only wished I used her at least 4 times instead of two she is over the top good. views are fantastic and the beach could not be closer or better. all adult kids and their spouses loved the house and beach. we had a photographer Josee she is prompt and has the best eye for great pictures. JP recommend bug spray and I am glad we brought some they are not bad at all but two of the kids seem to attract bugs. we are picky with shampoo, conditioner and lotion so we brought our own. He does provide these items. If we needed anything JP is on site and he made sure we had what we needed. Keep in mind the bedrooms are air conditioned and rest of the house is open living with out air, which there is a breeze. The pool is perfect size. The hot tub does not work properly but JP had the gas company come and they are trying to fix the problem. One ceiling fan doesn't work and two work real slow, but once again JP wasn't aware of the problem and is gonna replace them. I would recommend this house and would stay there again. *****

Summary: Beach Lover's Delight proved to be the PERFECT vacation Getaway for our family. The view was BreathTaking!!! The house offered everything you could need for a relaxing vacation.The pool was Beautiful and Refreshing. The staff went out of their way to exceed our needs. Joe was a Gracious and Friendly host. This was by far the Greatest house we have rented in our 20 plus years of traveling as a family!!!

Summary: This property was full of surprises and the views were amazing. Our 3 year old Grand Princess truly enjoyed herself and didn’t want to leave. Our adults enjoyed the comfort of the home as well as the numerous areas to relax outside. We were in close proximity to everything that we needed and JP and Heather were awesome hosts. We highly recommend Beach Lover’s Delight.

Summary: The pictures and description of the Villa cannot fully capture the actual beauty, prime beach location, and “high style” of the property. Combined with the genuine warmth and hospitality of hosts - JP & Heather - this is a must-rent property for an unforgettable vacation. The three of us friends had plenty of space to spread out - each having a great bedroom and private bathroom. Ample comfortable and spacious common areas for hanging out together. The toughest choice each day was how to divide our time between the clean and refreshing pool or the beautiful sandy beach about 20 to 25 yards away from the main Villa. The hosts were so helpful with recommendations for a private driver, restaurant options, stocking the kitchen to our request, providing a courtesy drive to grocery store, and arranging an in-Villa private dining experience. Perhaps my best vacation rental experience of all time!
