3 Bedroom Villa in Brighton, St Michael

Sea Turtle is located on Brighton Beach, at the south end of the Platinum Coast of Barbados, with direct access to the sand, and with uninterrupted views of the Caribbean Sea.
Built in the 1960's this spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom bungalow is set in a quarter of an acre of mature gardens and underwent a full refurbishment in November 2011 (including new soft and hard furnishings throughout). A 500 sq ft sun deck and a pool were added in November 2012. Situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood two miles north of the city center the house feels very private and is ideal for groups or families wanting a private hassle free beach experience or for intimate 'honeymooning' couples. The beach is over 1.2 miles long and it is the largest turtle hatchery on the island. Turtles are often seen laying eggs, hatching and swimming in the surrounding waters. Green monkeys visit the property and the garden is full of humming birds. Being set back over 100 yards from the main road, Sea Turtle does not experience the road noise suffered by most West Coast villas and as Brighton Beach is a mainly residential beach it is almost deserted for most of the day/week.
The Master and second bedrooms are both 'en-suite'. The Master has a 'California King-size' bed and the second and third rooms can be configured as either 'Large Double', 'Twin' or three singles. The house is child friendly and there is a baby cot/crib available if required.
In addition to kitchen, laundry and lobby, the living area comprises of an internal 18' x 28' lounge with giant TV, an external 30' x 12' covered dining area with seating for 8, and 15' x 30' canopied wooden sundeck with loungers and barbecue, leading onto a 30' x 15' sundeck with outdoor pool. There is also a porch to the roadside with seating, where you can catch the early morning sun.
There is a daily maid/laundress to wash-up, do laundry, and to clean and service the rooms.
The house is a five minute drive south of the best restaurants on the island, 600m from a large modern supermarket, right on the beach and walking distance from Kensington Oval Cricket Ground.

Summary: This place was exactly as advertised. It was clean and fun to stay at with our 2 kids. Perfect sand on the beach, and beautiful sunsets during dinner on the back deck. One of favourite features was the outdoor shower to rinse off the salt and sand from the ocean. So nice. I can't say enough about our hosts Ralphie and Julieann were was above expectation. They were attentive and considerate, and gave so many helpful suggestions. Furthermore, Ralphie even messaged me a couple days before we arrived to help arrange a grocery delivery so there was food in the fridge when we arrived. I've never had someone suggest that before and it was sooo helpful. We showed up with the kids and just went to the beach and had a fridge full of food. It was awesome. I would certainly recommend this property to friends or family, and would certainly stay there again without hesitation.

Summary: As others have mentioned, the house itself could use a little updating but the point here is the BEACH!We loved spending our days there and walking down the beach to Stades for drinks and great lunches.Ralph, the property manager is an absolute prince of a man and strives to accomodate your needs.

Summary: Returning to Sea Turtle has been great, it’s spacious, well equipped with plenty of extras. The property is serviced well by Ralph and Teresa and its location gives us good access to the south and west coast beaches. I hope we can return one day.

Summary: If you are looking for marble and gleaming appliances, this is not for you. If you want the real feel of phenomenal Caribbean location with a tremendous staff, this place is fabulous. Short ride to Bridgetown and Holetown. The beach out back is AMAZING. The sunset pics were surreal. We felt very safe in Barbados. The house has very good security. Bajans on the beach were extremely warm and friendly. This area is sadly changing, way too incredible beach for the few houses there so there will be construction all around as they build condos. A house like this with quiet frontage will be impossible to find in a few years. Throw in amazing staff, Ralphie brought over fish he caught that day and this place can’t be beat. We will definitely be back.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at the Sea Turtle. House is located right on the beach with turquoise water and white sandy beach. Backyard is a gem. We enjoyed the small pool as well specially the kids in the group. Ralph and Julieann were very helpful throughout the trip. It was so convenient to have groceries in the fridge/kitchen for our first day breakfast. Theressa, the housekeeper was amazing. She made sure the house was clean and helped with our laundry too. For future stays, we would suggest to update the mattresses in the rooms and also update the plumbing in the bathrooms since there was stagnant water in the showers. Overall our group had a great time! Thank you for making our Barbados trip memorable .

Summary: we stayed at sea turtle 18Nov-02 Dec, there were 6 in our party. The house was well maintained, the staff was great they would come and clean every other day, the manager was easily accesable. The location on the beach is fantastic. Getting goceries ect. was easy with only a 10 min. walk. The only complaint was you are not on a bus route and have to walk up to the mall, which is where the grocery store is located which was only a minor inconvience, we would and probably will return to this property

Summary: At 1st we were concerned with the all the different locks on the beach gates, the deck and the front door. Too many different lock combinations. The house can use some updates, the beds mattresses were very thin and not comfortable. The bedrooms were nice and cool but walk out from there and the heat hits you like a ton of bricks. Very hard to cook in a kitchen that is 90 degrees before you even start. The photos online look like they were taken back 20 years or so. The housekeeper and Ralphie the were excellent in their communication. The amenities show air conditioned but it should state only in the bedrooms!!!!

Summary: Now and then we cross paths with lovely people who transform a space from a place to stay into a place to enjoy. Theresa, the housekeeper for Sea Turtle, is an artist at her work, to be sure, but is a splendid human being with a whole heart. We are lucky to have met her.

Summary: We did not want to leave after our week here! The outside area in the back that leads to the beach can't be beat. With the seating, pool , lounge chairs , deck and beach we spent most of our time out there. It was also very private, with trees on each side of the property. The AC is only in the 3 bedrooms and works very well. Fans and cross breezes are used for the rest of the house. It can get very hot inside , especially in the kitchen when cooking. Teresa, the housekeeper, was great. She came a few times during the week and we felt quite pampered. Communication with the property manager was easy and he always responded in a timely manner. We would go back anytime and recommend staying here.
