Launch kayaks right from the beach, fish from the patio, swim, boat or just relax. Newly renovated, this property is peaceful and quiet, yet just a 5 minute walk to Historic Downtown Coxsackie with several shops & restaurants.
Located minutes off the NY Thruway and I-90, convenient to NYC, Boston, the Berkshires, and Tanglewood. Only about 2 hrs from New York City.
The views from this property rival a Thomas Cole painting. Arguably one of the best spots on the entire Hudson River with a rocky beach and protected cove for launching kayaks, an incredibly strong bulkhead and dock, and a beautiful, flat yard, patio and deck. There is direct water access from either the rocky beach or from the swim ladder on the dock. Lots of places to relax, great trees for shade, and extras including kayaks, lawn games, and water toys.
You will find our home pristine; Cleaned to the highest standards by our cleaning team and then thoroughly checked personally by your hosts.
Heron's View is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1200 sq ft newly renovated home and can accommodate 6 people. The kitchen has been updated with granite counter tops and all new appliances and opens to a dinette area with a large window overlooking the waterfront. Enjoy breakfast on the deck and watch the ships pass by, or bring your coffee to just a few steps further to the waterside patio and watch the fish jump!
The dining room comfortably seats six people. There is also an outdoor table and chairs on the patio for outdoor dining.
There are two newly renovated bathrooms, one with water views from the bathtub. Three bedrooms each offer comfortable mattresses, bedding, dressers and decor. Plus there is a futon on the 4 season sun porch. Plenty of room for sleeping and relaxing.
Working remotely doesn't get much better than this.....the home is equipped with high speed fiber optic internet and a desk/workspace overlooking the Hudson River.
Enjoy a large, flat yard perfect for lawn games or just relaxing. Lots of trees for shade on hot days and an outdoor firepit offers heat on cool nights. Fish from the patio or dock. There are 5 kayaks (three adult and two child), paddles, life jackets, floats/water toys, fishing poles, lawn games, and more.

Summary: We stayed at Heron's Nest for a glorious 3 days. The property was exactly as advertised--but more so---immaculate, serene, beautiful. All the supplies we needed to cook and many unexpected extras for play including games, floats, bikes and great tv. Cannot wait to come back. Thank you!

Summary: We had a wonderful time at this great house that’s sits right on the beautiful Hudson River. This place was spotless, with plenty of room and a kitchen loaded with everything you need. This is a perfect place to get away from it all and enjoy some peaceful rest and relaxation. You have a huge flat grassy yard right on the Hudson with a small beach to walk right in, launch your kayak, or hop in a tube. Great patio overlooking the River with a ramp down to about 50 -60 foot private floating dock that you can pull your boat right up to. Plenty of patio and lawn furniture and gas fireplace for delicious s’mores like we enjoyed. Owners were always available and responsive and provided excellent restaurant recommendations in Coxsackie and other nearby towns that we took advantage of. If you want to get away from it all and just relax riverside at a great house and property …this place checks all the boxes.

Summary: Great house and location! Amazing riverfront view/property. House is super comfortable and chic but homey. Soaking tub is heavenly. Very well stocked kitchen - we cooked almost every meal at home - with spices, condiments, knives, pans, etc. 2 great tables for eating - round 4-seater in the kitchen and 6-seater dining room table in open concept dining/living room. Beds were comfy. WONDERFUL property on the river which we loved and we were there for snow and a thaw! Coxsackie is a great town and very easy short walk to cute downtown. Supermarket a short car trip (5 mins) away. Will definitely come back!!!

Summary: We thought the house and location were great -- very pretty open location on the water. House was warm and well furnished and really nicely renovated. We were there to ski at Hunter which was about 45 minutes away, but this would be a great spot also in warm weather.

Despite an unusual heat wave, we were completely comfortable -- romping, reading, kayaking, cooking and eating -- hardly budging from the property and sleeping in air conditioned comfort (even on nights when a starry show (the Perseid Meteor shower) taken in from the riverside hammock kept us out into the wee hours.
