Taxi, Bus, Rental Car. The Buses run on a very frequent basis throughout the Hotel Zone, approximately every 2 minutes with a cost of 12 pesos each way. You can take the Bus anywhere along the Hotel Zone or into the city (El Centro) where you can get to several Malls, Wal-mart, Sam's Club and Home Depot. Costco is 1/2 mile from Walmart, a healthy walk or taxi ride. Prices are higher for holidays and high seasons.

Summary: Everything was just right with this place and there was nothing we were wanting for. I recommend taking the shuttle that they offer - Gustavo was great. The restaurant downstairs in the hotel was surprisingly nice. Plenty of other restaurants were a short walk down the street. Hard Rock Cafe and other party places were close, but just far enough that the location was quiet. Overall, no complaints!

Summary: We wanted a place on the beach with a nice pool and easy access to the beach. We planned many excursions so we did rent a car, but the market, bank, shopping, and restaurants are all in walking distance. It was perfect for my family of four (kids 12 and 15). We were able to eat breakfast in the condo everyday, store snacks, cook a pasta meal one night and enjoy dinner out. Unfortunately it stormed 90% of our trip, but we did have about 6 hours of sun on the last day when we could enjoy the pool and beach. We otherwise were not at the resort much as we toured Chichenitza (Viator), swam in a cenote, toured Rio Secreto, and took a trip down to Tulum. All of it was Fantastico! I’m thankful we did not spend the extra money on an all-inclusive resort. This was more affordable, the kids had their own beds, and I have found that I feel AWFUL whenever I eat “all that I can eat.” Plus, if we spent the money on an all inclusive, we would have been sitting at a rainy resort all week instead of using that extra money to explore and adventure. So if your looking for something similar, I highly suggest this VRBO.

Summary: What a wonderful place to stay in. Clean, a lot of space, full kitchen, 2 balconies- much more than I could have asked for. Check in was easy. Arranged a ride with Gustavo through the property manager and he was at the airport waiting. Mely was great and very helpful. Pictures do not do this place justice. You must see for yourself! I’m already looking for dates to head back.
