Positive: Everything. The manse itself is all you’d expect it to be and more besides. Beautifully well-presented and tastefully (and thoughtfully) appointed - and in a lovely setting that perfectly suits the building itself.
Negative: Nothing. There wasn’t anything to dislike. Hidden away in a magical little valley, the Old Manse is a truly wonderful and tranquil place to stay.
Summary: Fantastic: it exceeded my expectations.

Positive: House and location are superb = very comfortable. Paul was a very engaging host, knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast was very good - very tasty free range eggs especially enjoyed!
Negative: As a lovely old house with old plumbing, the shower could have been better - fairly weak flow, not very warm water. (Better the second time though, so maybe it was just us!)

Positive: Welcoming, friendly hosts, good sized room with comfy bed, large bathroom, homemade treats to have with tea/coffee. Scrumptious breakfasts. Separate guest lounge for reading/relaxing. Loved hearing the flow of the river.
Negative: Really enjoyed our stay … if we were being picky the tv was very small and not ‘smart’.
