Welcome to “Calm Water Cove”.
This home is the perfect getaway for you and your family at the Lake of the Ozarks where there is something for everyone to enjoy.
This home is located in the back of a small cove off the main channel just off of mile marker 5 on the popular North Shore. This home is beautifully decorated and gives you a coastal cottage feel which invites you to relax and settle in for a great vacation.
The house is close to the water for easy access to the large dock which has both a swim deck and a sun deck. You can have hours of fun doing activities off the dock including swimming, paddle-boarding, kayaking, and playing on the Aqua Lily – all provided for your use! And don’t worry about filling up your suitcase with a bunch of beach towels – we have those for you too! Even though we are a short distance from the main channel, the water in the cove is calm and safe for swimming.
Brought your own boat or planning to rent one? We have a great 28 ft x 9 1/2 ft covered boat slip on the dock available for your use. By water you are just a short boat ride away to some local hot spots such as Boathouse Lakeside Bar and Grill, Shady Gators, Neon Taco, and Docknockers. We have parking for 2 vehicles directly in front of the house, and parking nearby for additional vehicles and boat trailers for a small fee.
When you feel like staying on dry land, enjoy the beautiful deck overlooking the lake which is located right next the gazebo. It is a peaceful place to relax and enjoy your morning coffee or your evening cocktail. Or move on over to the large hammock for an afternoon nap.
Preparing meals is easy to do with our fully stocked kitchen complete with drip coffee pot, Keurig coffee bar, griddle, pots, pans, knives, cooking utensils, etc. We also have 2 refrigerators to keep all of your food and beverages cold. Located off of the kitchen is a Weber propane grill ready for you to grill out on the deck. There is plenty of seating for everyone both indoors and outdoors. The kitchen has a large table to seat 8-10, with an additional 4 seats at the bar. Finish off your meal with s’mores roasted in the fire pit down by the lake.
There are three bedrooms that are each furnished with a queen bed, and the bunk room has double bunk beds which consist of Twin over Twin bunks and a Twin over Full bunk bed. There is also a pull-out sofa if you need an extra space to sleep and a pack n play provided. This home is best suited to sleep a maximum of 8 adults. We have a washer and dryer with detergent and dryer sheets available for your use.
If it happens to rain, we have plenty of indoor activities to keep you busy. There are plenty of board games, cards, Wi-Fi and 5 TVs throughout the house so you can stream your favorite movies.
If you are looking for activities that don’t involve the water, head into nearby town to walk the iconic strip by Bagnell Dam and do some shopping or dining at many of the local restaurants and bars. Also close by is an outlet mall, go carts, golfing, and grocery stores.
With a relaxing location and beautiful setting, Calm Water Cove is the perfect place to visit any time of year. Summary: Beautiful home with great hosts! The weather was cool and rainy, but this house was the perfect place to snuggle in and be together playing games, cooking and watching movies. Had the weather been better, the house offers many amenities to enjoy the water! These hosts have thought of everything, and we had a terrific stay.

Summary: We enjoyed the house very much! Had 6 adults and 5 children with plenty of room. The kids loved using the aqua lily off the dock and trying the paddle board and kayaks within the cove. We were there Monday through Friday and the lake and cove were very quiet early in the week. Only started seeing neighbors late on Thursday. We should have bought fire wood early in the week because it rained a bit and everything was wet so we couldn't get a fire going for smores our last night.

Summary: The house was great. 2 families with teenagers. 2 rooms in lower level that the kids stayed in and 2 rooms on main level for the adults. Lots of space and big kitchen table for all to eat and play games. Great dock to fish or float in the cove. Overall a great time was had by all and the house has almost all you need.

Summary: We had so much fun at this home on Lake of the Ozarks! Our family loved the calm cove and the large dock for swimming. The lilly pad and kayaks added adventure and we rented a pontoon one day to explore the rest of the lake. This house is lovely and had everything we needed to make meals and grill. There were many great places to sit outside and enjoy the lake and the views. The owners provided many extras and everything we needed. One of the best VRBO’s we have stayed in!

Summary: We had such a great vacation, staying at Calm Water Cove. We are a family of 6 and allowed some of our kids to bring friends. Comfortably slept 8. Great area, perfect dock for swimming, kayaking, tanning, etc. House had everything we could need. From kitchen supplies, to S’mores ingredients, beach towels, and so much more. I personally appreciate having nice shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap, etc - felt just like home. Will definitely plan to stay again.

Summary: A group of 10 (4 adults / 6 children) of us stayed here and we had a blast. The house was cozy and relaxing, the outdoor space was plentiful and quiet, and the kids had a blast with the kayaks. We would recommend this house and would definetly be coming back in the future.

Summary: Our family had a great time while staying in the lake house. We prepared most of our meals at home and the kitchen was well equipped. There was plenty of room for our larger family to dine together. We enjoyed coffee on the beautiful lake front deck in the mornings and ended each night with a fire (we brought our own wood). The kids fished a lot, but didn’t catch much. They really enjoyed the kayaks, floats, and water Lilly pad. Lots of good perks included with this stay, even life jackets provided. There were 11 of us and enough room for all. The house was clean and provided us all the necessities. We would certainly stay here again.
