Charming Carmel Point home, one and a half blocks from River Beach and a short walk to Carmel's main beach. This house welcomes you with beautiful gardens as you walk up the front path. A Monterey colonial with recently refinished hardwood floors and Spanish tile pavers in the kitchen, rough cut beams in the living and dining rooms, and a pleasing ambiance throughout. The country kitchen invites you to linger over breakfast. The bedrooms are good sized. The upstairs bedroom has a skylight and is surrounded by trees, and from the bathroom has a view over the wetlands and up the Carmel Valley. Downstairs there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms all with garden views.
This is a family vacation home loaded with books and games, yet organized for formal dining and entertaining. There is a brick patio with a BBQ and large enclosed back yard, towering Monterey Cypress trees, and lovely gardens. You can relax with a book in the garden, or in front of the open fire, walk to the beach, or enjoy the numerous activities in the Carmel/Monterey area.
There are beach chairs, umbrellas blankets and toys and a wagon to get the gear to the beach.
Monterey Peninsula has great golf courses including Pebble Beach, spectacular views, wonderful restaurants, Point Lobos, Big Sur, kayaking, lovely beaches, wineries, Monterey Bay Aquarium, museums, hiking, and water activities.
There is off-street parking for several cars. There is an EV charger near the garage.

Summary: We stayed 5 nights with family. Ideal to have 4 bedrooms, 2 with private baths, and 2 with a shared bath. Location is next to river marsh so plenty of birds and frog song at night. 5 minute walk to stunning Carmel River Beach. This home has the best equipped kitchen of any VRBO we've ever used--so we were able to prepare and enjoy some great meals. High quality gas grill, too. We love the area and would surely stay here again.

Summary: This house was perfect for a family of 5 1 mother-in-law. The beds and living spaces clean and comfortable. The garden gorgeous. Well supplied kitchen gadgets and appliances. The location 1.5 blocks from Carmel River Beach makes enjoying the beach very easy. We used the Monterey Aquarium passes, which was a very nice bonus. If there’s anything wrong with the house, it’s that it’s too far from Ocean Ave for some people to be able to walk. Otherwise, if you like walking it’s a beautiful walk and not an issue. We never had trouble finding a parking spot in March near shops and restaurants.

Summary: We spent 4 wonderful nights here with our family over Thanksgiving. Everything was absolutely perfect! The owner was very prompt and attentive in responding to our communication and answering all of my questions. I was delighted that my 90 year old mother was able to comfortably join us. Everything was clean and the house well stocked. The yard and gardens are beautiful, with a variety of lovely sitting areas to enjoy. We loved being within walking distance to the beach, scenic walk to downtown Carmel, many fun small neighborhoods to explore, and in close proximity to the store and shopping. Everything was delightful! We have been coming to Carmel for Thanksgiving week for years, and this home in its wonderful location will definitely be a repeat!

Summary: We are a group of friends that only see each other once a year. This was the most perfect place for us to get together and enjoy each other. The house is darling and we all had our own space although we spent most our time I. The back yard. We loved the gardens and loved watching the giant hummingbirds that played out back. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals. It was a very short walk to the beach which we took advantage of and saw the most beautiful sunsets. Great host
