Summary: The place had everything we needed, plus fun touches we didn’t expect. Beds were comfortable, the bar area added nice atmosphere, the outdoor shower was great, and the array of board games was fun. Would stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was better than I expected it to be. The house was clean upon arrival. There were plenty of kitchen items to use for cooking. The outside area was wonderful. There was already some beach toys at the house and towels. Under the house in the carport area was a awesome hangout area with a little bar and full size fridge. We LOVED IT ! The only thing I would ask to be updated would be to have curtians on the windows in the bedrooms due to it getting really bright in the room really really early in the mornings. Also the mattress seems to have a little wear to them and seem to roll to the middle. I am not a super picky person, so these things I am listing to be updated are just an idea. We really enjoyed this house and it was better than the pictures listed ! The community also has a really nice pool and beach area on the sound to swim in that was great for the kiddos and myself . The water was WARM ! It was Awesome !

Brought our canoe and paddled out to the sound. Caught some small fish, couldn’t manage anything big from there. If you are wanting a house to spend 90% of your vacation at, this is probably not for you. But if you want a home base, from which to adventure, this is perfect! A little off the beaten path, but not bad.

Summary: The house was good sized for our family of 5. It needs some maintenance on the ceilings, and doors (front and sliding glass rear). It could use some updates on the dishwasher, countertops and bathrooms. The furniture is older, but usable. The cabinets are so full of pots, pans, plates, bowls, glassware and other items that there is no room for groceries. The great things about the rental are it's location on the sound, kayaks, beach stuff we could use, a nice gas grill. great out seating area on the deck, a nice community pool and park at the sound. Yes we had to drive to the pool, park and beach areas, but not a huge factor. I think this is a 3-4 star house in a 5 star location. My family enjoyed our time there, but if you are looking for a 5 star house with all the updates of a new house this is not it. If you want a livable, relaxing vacation with lots of options on how to spend your days, then this would work well for you.

Summary: We loved our stay in Colington. It was the perfect little getaway. Everything was close to visit, but off t he beaten path enough to be quiet and restful. There was a little sound side beach with a playground that our daughter loved. The pool was great. We were about 5-10 minutes from the oceanfront. There were shops and restaurants galore. We had a great time and we will return.

We love it. However its pretty bad when you only have one place to sit to watch a movie. The love seat is AWFUL!!! The home is also not as clean as it has been in the past. Better than last year, hut not as clean a prior years.
