Positive: Very central placement in the old town, just around the corner from Plaza de la Merced. In the heart of the old town, with La Malagueta playa just a 15-20 minutes walk away. The apartment is placed on the 3rd floor with a clear view (above the rooftops) towards the cathedral from the living room. There's a buzy street below, but very good sound proofing in the living room windows. Bedrooms towards a quiet backyard. Aircondition both in the living room and in each of the two bedrooms. All facilities in the kitchen and elsewhere. (Thankfully there was a stovetop espresso maker in addition to the capsule coffee machine.) Washing machine (but no dishwasher – not a problem). The apartment was large enough for a comfortable three week stay for a couple. Two bathrooms with shower (the second bath is small, though). Elevator is a plus, as the hallway gets extremely hot on warm summer days. No personal meeting with the hosts or their employees, but sufficient communication throughout the stay. One very thorough cleaning was included in our three week stay. Minor faults in the apartment were fixed promptly.
Negative: This is not about the apartment, but concerning the building: As I mentioned, the hallway / stairway outside the apartment gets extremely, uncomfortably hot on summer days. Lock on entrance door takes some force to lock properly. Both the large and the small bathroom lacks proper ventilation (apart from windows).

Positive: It was a perfect location for seeing all the sights of Malaga. The owners wear very attentive before and during our stay. The apartment was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen, including some beers and cakes left by the hosts. We did enjoy our time there.
Negative: We could have done with extra blankets or heavier quilts for the beds. It would save on heating too, we had to leave the heating on as the rooms were quite cold. The second small bathroom doesn’t have any heat source at all. Probably fine during summer, but not in a cool December day. The chairs around the table are most uncomfortable. They are garden chairs. These could be improved too.

Positive: Communication with our Hosts was excellent and via a Whats app group chat which Mateus and Simona set up well in advance of our stay and posted lots of recommendations and tips for restaurants and places to visit.. The instruction for check in was excellent and simply completed. The accommodation was very roomy with a Living/Dining room looking out over the Cathedral, a Kitchen that was well stocked and sufficient for our stay (The fridge has Beer and water to welcome us) Two bedrooms that were also well equipped. The Building has a lift. The location just off Plaza De La Merced and on the edge of the old town with all the main attractions only minutes away. I would not hesitate to recommend the apartment to anyone and I would use it again when next in Malaga.
