Summary: This house could easily sleep 22 people but we found it to be just fine for our group of 8. We very much enjoyed the waterfront and all the boat options (kayak, canoe, rowboat) The large lawn has plenty of flat areas on which to play badminton and corn hole which we brought with us. We used the outside fire pit often during our stay and it is surrounded by very nice, sturdy & comfortable Adirondack chairs from LL Bean which 2 of us now wish to look for and purchase for our own homes. There are several bedrooms & beds (some very firm-some very soft) so you can try out several and decide which is the most comfortable for you. As the listing states the house uses propane and can be very dark inside. A few of the lights were not working (and later the propane fueled refrigerator) for the first few days of our stay but the owner apologized and had the repairmen out to fix them which helped to brighten the rooms in the evening. The main fireplace is absolutely beautiful and we used it many times as the nights sometimes were cool. Wood was available and plentiful for both indoor & outdoor fires. The house is very well furnished with cooking items and games so save your vehicle space as you really don't need to pack any of these items. The large porches have lots of comfortable seating and the sunrise and sunset views from the porch are fantastic. The owner Karen was very helpful and available for any needs that we had. She also had great recommendations for dining and trail/walking areas. We are big walkers and took walks daily. There is a very long dining room table in the dining area that we used for both meals and to play numerous family games and cards every night. The history of the house is quite interesting and there are many books to read if you are looking for a relaxing, lazy day indoors or on the porch. If you, like us, are quite content with the older, rustic, camp experience this house will not disappoint! Thank you Karen and hope to venture out your way again!!

Summary: Heath Camp takes you back in time to enjoying wide porches, lake views, picnics, cookouts, campfires, walks, swimming, paddling, patchwork quilts, fresh air & shooting stars viewing just to name a few of all there is to enjoy. We love the gaslight lamps, spacious rooms, open air. porch and screen porch, fire pit on warm night, and fireplace on a chilly night. The kitchen was well appointed. great books to read, 'natural AC' of cross ventilation through all the patio doors and screened windows. We had the most wonderful time and can't wait to return.

Summary: Two families tired of Netflix and social media met at this special place. No electricity meant we were outside and together. We had not seen each other in over a year and this place was a great place to finally get together, Lots of space and the location is out of this world. Karen was easy to get in touch with and responsive to our questions. Think camping but better. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you may want. Plenty of beds to choose from. We hot a cold weekend and made great use of the huge fireplace. A good place to go to get away fro. modern life.

Summary: We stayed at this home for a week in late July. If you enjoy beautiful sunrises on the lake, large porches, historic homes, kayaks/canoes on the water, rustic accommodations, and quiet, relaxing spaces then this is a great property for you! We asked a lot of questions while we were there and Karen (owner) was very responsive to everything we asked/needed. We had critters in the home (it’s an older home located in a forest), but my husband was comfortable with dealing with them. We spent a lot of time in the water (nice sandy beach entry way) and in kayaks/canoes/SUP (provided there). The lake was quiet and clean - beautiful for exploring. We brought lots of hammocks and the kids set them up in the yard and read overlooking the water. Beautiful space! Even in the rain, there is large porch space to play games and enjoy the beauty of the outside. It is a unique property with no electricity, yet the propane lights work well at night and the kitchen was fully functioning for all of our cooking needs. We also took a day trip to the high peak region to hike some high peaks - a little over an hour away - but otherwise just enjoyed the beauty of the space on the lake. Campfire pit too... and of course beautiful stars at night. Fun place to make memories with a large group!

Summary: This place was so much more than we expected. We had everything we needed and more. Even though it was cooler than we would've liked we still made the most of it and had a fabulous time. It was so nice to unplug and watch our kids keep themselves busy without their faces being stuck in a screen. They fished, swam and played board games. I loved this place and can't wait to return next year!!

Summary: This is our second year at Camp Heath. We were a little nervous last year during the long drive along the dirt road. When we arrived, all I could say was "oh yes!!!!" There's something magical about the setting. Having to light gas lights and starting the pump for water adds to the charm of the place. We had fires inside or outside every night. We used the cow bell on the porch to call people for meals. We saw eagles and their babies. The loons are beautiful and sound great at night. The paddle board was a great addition. There are plenty of opportunities to exercise, but you can't find a more relaxing setting.

Summary: The week at the lake was all and more than I could have hoped for! I celebrated my 60th year with family and friends at Heath Camp. Everyone loved the house with its Adirondack character and plenty of room. We enjoyed walks in the woods, play with dogs, swims in the lake, Scrabble and chess matches on the deck, fishing and boating, fabulous dinners by the livingroom fire on cool evenings, appetizers on the porch, easy car explorations to Lake Placid, and all sitting around the campfire outside in the evening, laughing and remembering the day's activities. I can't think of a better place to celebrate life. It was simply the best. Thank you Heath family!

Summary: My family and friends have enjoyed staying at the Heath Camp many times. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the outdoors with peace & quiet and the beauty of the Adirondack mountains, along with the families Glica, & Rados we will never forget the great times, fishing, and great suppers after a long day of enjoying the beauty of this lodge. I'm not sure of our dogs Carley,& Clancy or us enjoyed it more. Rent a boat and explore the beauty of the Lake Chateaguay.
