Shelter Cove Villa. Completely Renovated. Well-Appointed, Perfectly Situated Unit. This bright and airy second-floor Harbourside I villa offers AMAZING HARBOR VIEWS from its balcony. Shelter Cove is a Mediterranean-style village located on the harbor across the street from Palmetto Dunes. More than a dozen restaurants and boutiques line the beautifully landscaped marina, where you can walk to breakfast, lunch or dinner; enjoy live music; shop; rent a boat or a kayak or book a fishing or a sightseeing excursion. Or just kick back, enjoy your wine or coffee, throw fish or steaks on the grill, all-the-while enjoying the incredible sunset views amongst the bright flowers and host of private yachts.
Best of both worlds: Shelter Cove offers everything from fine dining to family-orientated water-front cafes and Mexican fare. Guests of this villa can walk downstairs for a cup of coffee glass or a wine at Bistro 17, enjoy a white-tablecloth meal inside at Ela's On the Water, take advantage of great Happy Hour drinks and live music at San Miguel's or catch spectacular sunset dining views at outdoor tables at Scott's Seafood or Bucci & Murray’s Pub on the Harbour--all within sight of the villa. On Tuesday nights, the balcony is the place to be as Shelter Cove becomes the island's most popular destination with free live music and fireworks. Completely Renovated: The bright and airy second-floor villa has floor-to-ceiling windows; a newly renovated kitchen with granite, tumbled stone and European stainless-steel appliances; tile floors throughout the common area; newly carpeted bedrooms, and updated bathrooms. The master bedroom with an extremely comfortable hybrid mattress king-sized bed overlooks the harbor, while the front bedroom, with two full-sized beds, overlooks the pool area. The den has a top of the line LG OLED TV with an advanced-component sound system that includes AppleTV player hookups, so you can listen to your own music on this awesome system. The dining room table seats six, while the breakfast bar accommodates another three for meals. An outdoor high-top table on the covered balcony is the best location for sunset gatherings or early-morning coffee. Overall, the upscale decor has a beach theme using sunset colors, wicker, glass and a mix of light woods against newly painted neutral walls. Calm and relaxing feel, through and through.
So much to do...without a car: Nowhere on the island offers more to do, without driving anywhere! Enjoy the building's private pool, located within the gated grounds. And since Shelter Cove is part of Palmetto Dunes, guests have access to Palmetto Dunes for beach, golf (All 3 courses at Palmetto Dunes have been rated an outstanding four stars or more by Fodor’s Golf Digest Places to Play.) and tennis (Ranked Top 25 Tennis Resorts in the World by Tennis Online Resorts). Guests also have free use of the owner's four beach bikes for the duration of their stay. Beach access for Shelter Cove guests is a one-mile bike ride away along paths under 278 and through Palmetto Dunes, or it can be accessed by car or the Palmetto Dunes Beach Buggy. The Buggy is a free shuttle service available to Shelter Cove guests during season that takes you to the beach, the grocery store or the mall, so you don't have to step foot in your car from the time you arrive until you are ready to depart. Within five minute walk from the villa, you have access to dining, entertainment, canoeing, kayaking, dolphin cruise, sunset cruise, dinner cruise, charter fishing and much much more!

Summary: First, our host Byron had excellent communication before and during our stay. He provided a very detailed welcome package. The condo is in a great location in Shelter Cove overlooking the harbor. Our trip was in early April with weather in the 70’s which was perfect. For part of the week there were two couples. Having separate bedrooms with their own bathrooms made it very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. We spent mornings having breakfast on the patio and cocktails in the evening soaking up the sun. Furnishings were comfortable. We loved having dining options within walking distance and took advantage of the harbor activities including a dolphin sunset cruise and a Craig boat tour. Both were a blast. The bike trails and beaches were easy to access. We got to ride bikes daily and hope to return next year. . Thanks for a great stay.

Summary: We rented almost a month, during a move, while waiting on work to be completed.The owner was immediately responsive to any IT issues we had during our stay. The area is a fun place to be with good restaurants and shops. We had one major issue with being locked out onto the 2nd story patio. Security for the marina finally decided it OK to respond after being out there for an hour. Owner will look at correcting patio door lock issue, as it was not the first time this has occurred. Just be aware. Otherwise a comfortable stay.

Summary: Condo on the Water is a perfect family vacation spot! There are 5 in our family, and we were very comfortable. The location is a 10-15 minute bike ride to the beach and a short walk to many shops and restaurants. The balcony is a perfect viewing spot for the Tuesday night fireworks. Our host was incredibly helpful, offering great suggestions for dining and other activities. The kitchen is well equipped, including a high end coffee maker and bean grinder - we used daily. We also greatly appreciated the level of cleanliness throughout. We would highly recommend this property!

Summary: The condo has been wonderful! The bikes are great and are much better than the ones we typically receive when we rent bikes. The baskets are a plus as well. The Apple play is soooo great as we are music lovers, and an option that we have never had in a rental before. The master bed is more comfortable than the new mattress we paid a lot of $$$ for just months ago! We enjoy morning coffee on the deck. We had amazing views of the lightning show last night as well as the fireworks. The pickle ball clinic is great. Noa, the instructor, was awesome! We enjoyed the beach yesterday, and the beach chairs were definitely a plus! Today, we will have a massage at The Westin Spa. ♥️ Thank you for sharing your wonderful condo. We hope to visit again I the fall!

Summary: Great location, owner was very nice to provide bicycles, beach chairs and umbrella. The view was Beautiful off the balcony. Everything we needed was close by, restaurants, shops, bakery, grocery store.
