2 Bedroom Cottage in Salt Spring Island

Private, surrounded by nature. Come and enjoy, relax and breathe. Great for a writers retreat, or a peaceful getaway. Families, lovely couples, or solo's welcome. This property is not for loud gatherings or shenanigans. We pride ourselves in offering a beautiful experience. The cottage layout: Upstairs consists of the main bedroom with a king size bed (open floor plan). There is a little room behind that has a queen size bed in it under a sky light looking up to the stars. There is also a bathroom with a bath under a sky light and a shower. Downstairs consists of the full kitchen, living room with a Murphy bed, and a bathroom with a shower. This property isn’t the best for small children. It has a steepish staircase and larger windows on the second floor that open wide. If you have small children, please don’t rent this property. Our concern for children’s safety is paramount. We’ve just re-introduced this property as an option for your holiday needs. It has all new mattresses, new bathrooms, and new refrigerator. Summary: The cabin has a lovely setting in the forest. It is close enough to town (15-20 minute drive) and also close to many hiking trails. There is a lake near by where we saw people swimming. The lower floor has a kitchen with everything you need if you want to prepare meals in-house. They also have an herb garden which was wonderful. There’s a small dinning- living room and bathroom. On the upper level are two bedrooms and another bathroom. However the second small bedroom doesn’t have a door, just a curtain, and the larger room has no closet. So it is better suited for one couple, with an extra bed for a child. There are huge windows in the slanted ceilings, and if you happen to wake up in the middle of the night you will see a lot more stars than you might be used to. It’s beautiful. It was quiet for most of our 2 week stay. There is a home being constructed next door, so on the last two or three days there were some noises from whatever was going on there, but we were out most of the day, hiking and having dinner in town. We would definitely come again.

Summary: Amazing cottage! It was a great size for the 4 of us. The Murphy bed in the living room worked perfectly great for us. Great assortment of kitchen tools. The shed has everything we could need, the host was very responsive to emails and it was close to everything. I hope to be lucky enough to return.

Summary: Great getaway for 2. Very quiet with everything you need. The road up was a challenge for our low clearance car but worth it. Beautiful sunrises.

Summary: This cottage was a great place for a relaxing get away. It is one of the best stocked places we have stayed at which made it easy to cook meals. We enjoyed the comfy furniture on the patio. It is in a private, quiet location but also a short drive into Ganges to get groceries. The shed was convenient for locking up our bikes.

Summary: Cabin was great! Nice and quiet spot nestled in the woods with some ocean glimpses. Cabin is well equipped and comfortable, and the property is well cared for. A bit of a drive to anything but that shouldn’t be a surprise based on location. We found a nice little beach nearby and was fun to explore the area. Would stay again!
