Quiet, rustic cozy home on wooded grounds, perfect for a relaxing getaway. We are 1 1/2 miles from James Creek boat launch near the center of Lake Raystown, located near Entriken. This home has two bedrooms, one on the first floor with a queen bed, and the other, on the second floor, with two queen beds.. The second bedroom also sports an upright piano for the musical guest. Wi-Fi is available. Deck is furnished with outdoor tables, seating, and a gas grill. A fire ring is available off the deck for making s'mores and the ingredients are complimentary! Firewood is available for $10/wheelbarrow load. RV/Campers not permitted. Plenty of bird-watching and chattering squirrels. See our tourist guide booklet for all kinds of fun things to do. Lake Raystown is the fishing and boating capital of central Pennsylvania and James Creek launch is a hot spot for bass tournaments. Five minutes from Lake Raystown Resort and Waterpark and Trough Creek State Park's Balanced Rock and Swinging Bridge, multiple hiking trails, and great trout fishing. Multiple geocaching opportunities in the area. 15 minutes from Seven Points Recreational Area and Marina and the Allegrippis biking trails. Guided fishing tours and lake beaches at Seven Points Recreational Area and Raystown Lake Resort. Great hunting in this area in the fall.
The house is approximately 18 miles from Huntingdon , Juniata College , Lincoln Cavern. Blue Knob and Tussey Mountain Ski Resorts within 1 hour. Penn State University is also within an hours drive.

Summary: My family (husband, me and two adult sons) & German Shepherd stayed here over Thanksgiving. Great location, lane is a bit washed out, but driveway to the house was great. Cottage was cozy and well stocked. Great appliances, great stock of pans, cookware, utensils. Very nice layout - the upstairs with two beds and the downstairs with one. Well stocked with linens, blankets and paper products. Great to not have to pack all of this! As many reviews have said - the place was immaculate and very well kept. Loved that it was dog friendly and still very comfortable. Not many places to hike on the property - but the parks and trails around it provided exactly what we were looking for. Overall, great place, nice location, great host. Will definitely look at staying again! Thank you!

Summary: This was our 10th year being guests of the Cozy Cabin. As always, we had wonderful stay. Staying in the cabin and getting out in the area will create memories and allow you to be still in this busy world.

Summary: This is the second time this year we have stayed at this cabin. Absolutely love it. The weather cooperated allowing us to boat on Raystown Lake and have fires in the evening in the fire ring. We will definitely will be back again!

Summary: This is our 6th summer staying here. Our kids and grandkids join my husband and me. A very relaxing property, yet close enough to Seven Points beach area and Raystown Resort for the water park. We can’t say enough about how nice this place is! Hoping to go for many more years.

Summary: This place is so magical! I stayed here with my husband, sister and her 4 kids over 4th of July weekend. There was plenty of space for all of us to feel comfortable, and Julie and her husband provided everything we needed to feel at home. I loved having my coffee on the porch in the morning while I listened to the birds chirp. The property is so private that I don’t think anyone could hear the kids’ little shrieks of joy and laughter while playing in the yard. I couldn’t ask for a better place to make memories with my nieces and nephews.

Summary: Lovely cabin in peaceful location. Secluded. Nice patio and yard with firepit. Leave your boat trailer at the bottom of the hill! It is close to launch site.

Summary: This is the second time we stayed at Julie's cabin and it did not disappoint! As previous reviews note, this cabin is immaculate and has everything we needed for our boating adventures since it is only minutes away from the James Creek boat launch. We enjoyed our meals on the deck and fires and smores in the evenings around the fire pit. We accidently locked ourselves out one evening and Julie responded to our phone call immediately! We already have this cabin booked again in September with our friends from the DC area. Can't wait to come back!!
