We are open and we have instituted additional and quite often duplicate cleaning and disinfecting practices. This will assure that our guests enter a home that is as clean and disinfected as possible. We have always been confident and proud of our cleaning staff and believe our reviews attest to our already high standards of cleanliness.

Creekside is the perfect property for those that want some room to spread out. As you approach through the gate and take your first corner on the driveway you'll see the house setting near the edge of a bluff. The home is neat, modern and well stocked for your stay.
Go in, unload and get ready to play. The property has several smaller trails that are perfect for supervised children to explore. Search for the spring that appears out the side of a hill and disappears again into the ground. See if the kids can find the conjoined tree. A tree connected by a big root where one side is dead and the other flourishing. Find the fern gardens and take note how much cooler it is with the springs feeding the ferns water.
One thing you'll notice is the bridge across the creek, which incidentally never runs dry. Cross the creek and you're on a dirt road that loops or takes you to the lake which is approx. 7/10th's of a mile away. Of course you'll want to continue exploring the property before venturing away.
Walk up the steep hill or go back a ways and take the easy hill.....you'll come up near the deck that overlooks what one of our guests named "Fern Gulley". The walk back to the house area lights up at night, sitting on either of the two large decks is a purely a matter of choice.
There are almost two climate zones on this property. firstly you have the lower wet lands and then the drier upper woodlands where you'll actually find species of cacti. We have also been told by a number of bird enthusiast the viewing is quite impressive.
Creekside has room to store and turn a trailer on the "sound" coleche driveway.

Summary: Over all nice and quiet. For persons of the technical age was not so. Wifi was terrible and we all had at&t. No data or phones. I myself enjoyed being unplugged for a few days.

Summary: Perfect little place in the woods. Nothing fancy yet everything you need.There was a burn ban in the area that had just been lifted, so I sent Mark a text and he responded right away that we could have a fire outside. Very secluded even though near the highway. Deer were in the yard when we pulled in.

Summary: Our cabin stay by the creek with family was nothing short of a treasured adventure. Nestled amidst towering trees and surrounded by the melody of flowing water and birds, we were captivated by the serene beauty. The home was beautiful! The privacy and view was unmatched. By far the best 'home away from home' stay we have experienced in Texas. I will cherish the memories made w/ my kiddos as we explored the property. It provided the much needed space & tranquility we were looking for. Til' next time, Creekside!

Summary: Creekside was very peaceful, and a great place to stay in for a few days to get away from the usual noise and distractions. We had a great time birdwatching, playing board games and sitting around the fire. Our family had a great time making memories, and the cabin was perfect for our family of 6. Thank you!!!

Summary: Creekside has all the creature comforts needed. Then offers great opportunities to marvel at a few of Mother Nature’s creatures along the way (Pileated Woodpeckers every day all day!). All expectations were met beyond measure. Once we got past NO SERVICE, our little cabin in the woods became the perfect place to unwind. The one and only thing that brought us back to reality was the yard guy showing up unannounced at 10:00 Saturday morning. It’s understandable that the job must be scheduled. Unless we missed it, a note on the fridge to announce his arrival would have saved us from being caught off guard on the front porch in our jammies. We would have scheduled our trip to the dam for that time. However, a little mowing will not stop us from planning our return visit. It is the perfect halfway point between Houston and Dallas. An ideal location for a small family rendezvous. Thank you Mark and Brenda.
