Summary: It really is a nice property in the country. The place was clean and well decorated with modern appliances in the kitchen too. It’s relaxing to stay in a place where you feel everything is taken care of and you can feel comfortable. This is certainly the place to do that when you need a place to stay and are headed in that direction.

Summary: The tall trees, pond and nicely mowed grass were picturesque. The tranquility and quietness created a welcome rest from noisy city life. We used this as a 'home-base' to visit neighboring places and towns: Texas State RR, Mission Tejas State Park, Davy Crockett National Forest, Huntsville and Nacogdoches).

Summary: Everything was as we expected. Smooth check in and check out. It was a very quiet, and we never heard or saw anyone else. It was a great place to stay as we traveled around east Texas.

Summary: We were looking for a place to stay while Texas was covered with snow and ice. We had no power, heat, or water -- like many Texans in the middle of Febrary. This place was perfect -- high speed wifi allowed me to keep on working, neighborhood/area was serene, and the hosts were there to help but weren't bothersome (we hope we weren't to them as well). If you want to get away to the country -- 2 hrs from Dallas -- for some peace and quiet, but still connected through the internet, this is the place to go. Crockett has some great restaurants (Fowler's is the best steak we've ever had!) and Wal-Mart and HEB -- all within a 10 minute drive. This is a must stay place and we'll be back.
