Positive: At present, this is a one-guest property so there is just yourself(ves) with Brahim and his lovely breakfast preparation colleague. In the heart of the Sousse medina (which we like most of those we saw in Tunisia), one has very short walks to the kasbah (where the excellent archaeological museum is located), the grand mosque, the ribat, fascinating markets throughout the medina as well as to local and regional transport stations. Kairouan, El Djem and other important sites can easily be visited without using up a whole day. The breakfasts were ample and delicious and we could linger as long as wanted in the relaxed setting. We were there for three nights. It would take more than that to notice and appreciate all of the items and details in the adornment of this dar. And it is all Brahim's work. Amazing! We feel very fortunate that Dar Tiziri was available for us.

Negative: Nothing worth mentioning.

Positive: Definitely one of the most beautiful and artistic houses that I have lived in! The decoration and articraft collections are fascinating. Also, it is located in the medina and easy to find. Not far from the gate of the medina where you can call taxi. Host is very friendly and caring. I would recommend it to any one planning to visit Sousse.

Negative: Cannot think of any.

Summary: Terrific. One of my best memories for Tunisia trip.

Positive: It is incredibly scenic and theatrical in character, filled with antiques, old furniture, details, trinkets, and beautiful objects with soul. Every corner has its own atmosphere, and the interiors feel as if time stopped there decades ago. For lovers of vintage treasures, collectors of memories, and anyone who appreciates character and history captured in objects, this place feels almost magical. You can truly feel transported back in time. Those who value minimalism, modern sterility, and a polished, impersonal hotel aesthetic might not be impressed, this is not a sleek, standardized boutique hotel. Here, what matters is authenticity, atmosphere, and character. I was genuinely impressed. The place has soul and a distinct personality, something difficult to define but that makes you simply want to be there. A major highlight is the rooftop terrace, offering a stunning view over the medina, a perfect spot to pause and take in the panorama of Sousse. The owner is very kind, warm, and helpful, which only adds to the overall positive experience.

Negative: The only minor remark concerns the guest kitchen – it could be slightly better equipped with utensils and accessories. It truly has great potential and, with the right equipment, could be a wonderful convenience, especially for longer stays. For me personally, it was not an issue at all, as I had breakfast included, which was delicious, fresh, and perfectly sufficient.
