Summary: The front desk was very kind. The room was ok and pretty clean. But the bed was flimsy and the walls are paper thin. I could hear everything and I’m not a light sleeper.

Summary: The front desk was very professional and courteous! We enjoyed the music as well! We stayed in the Little Richard suite. I just wished the shower pressure was a little better. Other than that I give it a 10!

Summary: Next to a main road, thin walls/windows, could hear vehicular noise all night, despite earplugs. I expected the noise from the lounge, which ended at 12:30/1 am, could feel the bass pretty well.

Summary: The Iris Motel is a recently renovated -boutique motel, in an up-and-coming area of New Orleans. Aesthetically, it is absolutely adorable (especially the pool) and, even though it is a -no frills- type of property, they provide you with everything you need. For the price, you really can not ask for more! A couple of things to know… There is no one on-site to manage the property, but I had no issues and feel certain that if I had, the local team would have responded quickly. (As a single female traveler, though, I would have felt safer with a security guard on the premises). The property is not brand-new, and the rooms are not fully sound proof. I could hear typical city noises, from outside, but, I’m from midtown Atlanta, so it didn’t bother me one bit! Just something to consider if you prefer absolute silence. Lastly, thank you to the management team for the hand written welcome note and the handmade friendship bracelets (with my name on it!) that I found at check-in, in honor of the Taylor Swift concert that was taking place,the weekend I was there. It was such a thoughtful surprise and made my visit even more memorable! I can not wait to go back to New Orleans and would be thrilled to stay at The Iris Motel again, in the future!
