We are located in the Historic and charming Ocean Park area of Santa Monica, safe and clean neighborhood, just blocks form the beach and neighborhood parks.
This unique property has high ceilings throughout and offers a spacious, clean and comfortable large bedroom, full kitchen and sofa area, full bathroom with an antique claw foot tub and shower, walk in closet, and a private entrance.
Enjoy an easy 8 block nieghborhood walk to Santa Monica beaches, and Main Street.
We are halfway between The Santa Monica Pier and Venice Boardwalk. 1.1 miles in either direction.
This 100 year old home is full of beautiful character details and has been updated for a few basic modern needs.
There is a visitor parking permit that allows for street parking , usually right in front. ($150 fee if parking permit is not left on the property when guests check out.)
The Queen sized bed can sleep 2 adults, and the futon sofa opens flat and will sleep one child or very petite adult.
With 10 1/2 foot ceilings, the cottage is quiet, light and airy, very private. Enjoy the amazing front yard garden sitting at the porch table with your morning coffee.
Clean and comfortable with attention to details... white cotton sheets, fluffy large towels, beach towels, Keurig coffee maker, Britta filtered water, beach chairs, large flat screen smart TV, wi-fi, bluetooth speaker, organic lotions and potions, bath salts and sunscreen all for your use. There are extra sheets for the futon and bed in the bedroom closet as well as brooms and mops.
Laundry facilities are just a few blocks away.
(for longer term rental, I will launder the sheets and towels weekly)
We live in the Main house, and will be here for most arrivals and always available if needed.

Summary: Beautiful property. Among the best we've experienced with VRBO. Ample space. Very comfortable bed. And plenty of kitchen staples and other incidentals included. Ready access to local shops and beaches. The hosts were gracious and timely with communication. Highly recommend.

Summary: Host was very nice. But we had a lot of issues with our stay over the holidays, unfortunately. Host scheduled painting of the whole exterior during our rental time, told us about it a few days before we traveled, and gave us a small discount to compensate. We would have much rather not had to deal with the mess and inconveniences like having the windows and door taped and covered up, no use of the lovely porch sitting area pictured, having to walk under ladders, and around equipment, etc. In addition, one night the wall heater wouldn't work and we had NO heat. The next day when the host came to fix it, we found out the bedroom was supposed to have a space heater which we definitely would have used the previous chilly nights. Location for us was great, parking easy. The unit has a lot of potential if given more attention to detail and if host's rental commitment is given priority over scheduling repairs.

Summary: We came in for a stay for a couple nights for a Chargers game. Check in was super simple. Bed was comfy. Parking was easy. No issues at all for our first trip to California. Be aware to anyone out of state that smokes. It is a bit of a challenge. Plan to go for walks lol. But 5 star review. House was awesome.

Summary: Lorna thought of everything. I’m a pretty thorough packer but she provided everything I needed. Enough hooks and surfaces to put things on. Comfortable and decorated in a neutral style. I didn’t have a car and it was a longer walk than I expected to find fun shopping areas. I had a great stay!
