Positive: Location was excellent - nestled in a little valley surrounded by trees. Lots of birds - some rare - throughout the visit thanks to the bird feeders. We spent the evenings outside listening to the wind rustling through the trees while we drank wine. It felt like our own little haven away from the world.
Negative: Nothing - everything was excellent. Single track roads with very little traffic to get to the property, which you may want to be aware of ahead of time.
Summary: Fantastic little hide away from the world with lots of beaches and things to do nearby.

Positive: I didnt like it, I LOVED it!!! I enjoyed it all so much that I will book again and again! The hosts were absolutely brilliant and I found myself at times chatting away the day with them while I should have been adventuring around North Devon. They are lovely people who were very attentive and helpful with all my needs. We all decided to go Quad Biking at the last minute and the hosts took care of my dog while we were away. The property is amazing and it is set in the most beautiful location, I slept with my window open so that I could be woken up with the sublime sound of nature and a wonderful stream. We didnt have the weather, but, the grounds of the property are setup for us to have a pit fire and even a large cinema screen on the front lawn. Inside the house, we found that everything was there to meet our needs. I have never even used a dishwasher before but made use of the one available to us. Each and every room of the house was immaculate and perfect. The dining room/kichen and the living room have tvs with netflix subscription and there is also a good internet connection for kids and adults alike. The location of the property is in the village of Berrynabor which is very close to Broadsands beach, local pubs, and a post office/shop. We visited Broadsands beach in the rain (down the 180+ steps) at it was still stunning. It is a beach that has been lifted from a scene in the movie 'The Beach' and it is definitely worth a visit! Nearby is Ilfacombe and Woolacombe. We also visited Lynmouth/Lynton. Quad biking, clay pigeon shooting and horse riding are also nearby and a short drive in the car.
Negative: Everything was perfect in the property and the grounds of the property. I cannot find anything that was/is wrong with the property. It would have been even more amazing if we had better weather but that could not be changed and is certainly no fault of the hosts.
Summary: A hidden gem in North Devon that we will revisit again and again!

Positive: The property & grounds had everything you needed. Saffron the host made every effort to cater to your needs & wants. The house & grounds were beautiful.
Negative: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the house it was wonderful but some of the roads nearby were very narrow.

Positive: We arrived after dark and the owner had ensured that lights were on and the house felt cosy. The house has every convenience you could want and everything worked - excellent wifi and internet connection. Beds were very comfortable and the house was clean with character and charm. The hosts live nearby and know the area well, so many tips and suggestions and very helpful. - thank you for jump-starting our daughter’s car! We shall definitely return … it was just as we like our holiday stays!
