The apartment is on the top two floors in a new building on Laugavegur, the main shopping street. The apartment is 75 m2 or 800 sq ft in size. Downstairs is a bathroom with a bathtub and shower, kitchen, a living-room with a 3-seat sofa, large TV and and a large window facing south towards Hallgrimskirkja. The bedroom is upstairs along with a balcony providing excellent view to the south over the city centre (see photo on top of the page).
The apartment sleeps 2-4 people. It is fully furnished with all utilities, such as refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster, dish-washer, tableware for 6 persons, bathtub/shower, washing machine/dryer, 37' flat-screen TV, DVD player, Apple TV, mobile phone with a local number, mobile WiFi hotspot, high-speed wireless internet connection, baby cot and a Bo-Concept double bed with a visco-elastic foam mattress (similar to Tempur-Pedic). There is an elevator up to the 4th floor and then a staircase inside the apartment between the two floors. A parking space in a closed garage within the building can be provided at only EUR20 per day.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay here - great location, great views (saw some Northern Lights out both sides of the apartment!), fully stocked to cook "at home" to save money on the high restaurant costs, and almost instant response from the host when we had any questions. Highly recommend!

Summary: Very convenient location and clean. Owner was extremely responsive to requests and accommodating. The property is located on a busy road with numerous restaurants, coffee shops and gift stores. Easy access to highways to go both East and West. Very easy to find from the airport

Summary: This was a fabulous little apartment for our family! The location was perfect. The apartment was well equipped with kitchen and bathroom accessories, which was much appreciated. We were able to save some money by making breakfast each morning instead of eating every meal out. It had amazing views and we could walk everywhere from there. Parking is difficult in that neighborhood, so I definitely recommend taking advantage of the parking space if you rent a car. We found the car very helpful for touring the golden circle, southern Iceland, and going to the Blue Lagoon.

Summary: This was my first VRBO rental on my own with my two teenage boys. So clean, easy and efficient. We had a rental car and got the available parking spot in the garage-a must for convenience and low stress! Jon was always available and checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. We were out snd about all day everyday adventuring and the location made finding dinner so easy. Also, the grocery store right next door meant I could provision so easily. For a mom and two teenage boys this was perfect!

Summary: We absolutely loved Jon’s penthouse apartment! It was clean, comfortable, had everything we needed, and Jon was a great host. The location was the best. We enjoyed having easy access to all the shops and restaurants, plus it was centrally located for exploring Reykjavik. We rented the parking spot from Jon, which made parking super easy. We are already talking about our next trip to Iceland and we would love to stay here again!
