Positive: Really good communication from the host. Helpful to have basic pantry items on hand especially for a late arrival. Location is reasonably central with Cudgen Creek just down the road and an easy walk down to Marine Parade being Kingscliff's main cafe and boutique hub where a major supermarket can also be found. The property is spacious, comfortable and well kept; looks to be a fairly new build and having the plunge pool out back makes for a fun stay when the weather behaves.
Negative: The bbq/grill was out of action but to be fair the host made contact ahead of time to inform of the inconvenience and offer a possible substitute as the new unit had been placed on backorder. Cleanliness is marked as :) very good however there were some areas particularly the living and kitchen zone that could've used a good freshen up. The property may have been due for a pest treatment as there were ant trails along the sink bench and across the peninsula on arrival. A couple small roaches surfaced from the shower drain of the master ensuite bathroom as well but didn't appear to be an ongoing issue during the stay. This does tend to happen around coastal properties plus it had been a particularly wet few weeks which always causes insects to seek refuge in warm and dry spaces. The outer gate is not lockable which limits use of the front entry courtyard and even the back yard and pool zone as it feels somewhat unsafe to be working, chatting or sunbaking out the back when anyone can enter the property through the front entrance. Also, none of the sliders have security screening so again it's not safe to leave the glass sliding doors open to catch the sea breezes or for easy access to the backyard/pool area. Parking is not great especially since the marketing seems to aim at attracting group stays where it's likely there'll be multiple vehicles. The secure garage is not available for use which is common with these larger type properties and although the driveway is wide and long enough to easily allow up to 3 small-medium vehicles, only 1 car is permitted to park, very awkwardly to one side of the actual driveway. Situated on the busy, main drag between Kingscliff and the Casuarina estates, off-street parking is premium so the lack of, should be highlighted in the booking platforms' description, not just in the post booking communication as it could be a game-changer for some.
Summary: Property was perfect for the purpose of this stay.

Positive: Excellent, modern facilities. Exceprionally clean and well maintained. . Plenty of linen and towels. Beds are comfortable. Excellent supply of kitchen condiments.
Negative: Pillows in several rooms were very soft. Suggest replacing.. Shower on ground floor leaks water onto the floor. Even more so when 2/3 people use it. Suggest checking the seals (minor issue)

Positive: Awesome accommodation for 3 couples. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Tastefully decorated, modern design.
Negative: We had to buy a gas bottle for the BBQ as the small one supplied was empty when we first turned on the BBQ. Also some of the dining chair legs were a bit wobbly.
