Positive: This was the best accommodation of our entire trip! The organization was perfect – from the airport pickup to the jungle trek. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to help with any question. Never intrusive, but always there when needed. Special thanks to Kiki for providing needle and thread so I could fix the hole in my backpack. Absolutely outstanding! Will come back someday for sure!!

The food in their riverside restaurant was delicious, and the location couldn’t be better – right in the heart of Bukit Lawang. They accommodated all our needs with a speedy, helpful response every time. Their assistance in booking our jungle trek, and adapting it when one of us fell ill, was superb. The rooms were comfortable, all facilities worked perfectly, and the WiFi was excellent – a real bonus as I needed to work during our stay. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we loved every minute.

Positive: The hosts are amazing. The communication is excellent. They go above and beyond. They stored our luggage for us while we did the 2D1N jungle trek and allowed us to use their shower on return and provided us with towels. They sorted us a taxi to the airport at an excellent rate. The room was spacious and clean and great aircon. The bathroom was large and the shower was warm. Staff are kind and help with luggage and food is prepared fresh and is tasty.

Positive: Our stay in Bukit Lawang was truly special. The homestay is set in a beautiful natural setting, with bungalow-style rooms that feel immersed in the greenery. The village itself is charming, and the local people are incredibly kind and welcoming. Our host, Jay, was especially warm and friendly — he made us feel right at home from the beginning. The weather in the evenings was pleasantly cool, which added to the comfort of the stay. And the breakfast? Absolutely amazing! Parking is available about a 5-minute walk from the village, since the area is not accessible by car. It costs around 30,000 IDR per day.
Negative: On our way back, we found that someone had parked their vehicle in front of our car, blocking us in. It took about an hour to locate the owner and get the car moved — an inconvenience- something to keep in mind if you have a flight or tight schedule. What was frustrating is that the staff had recommended that parking spot, even though a proper secure parking area was available just across the road. In hindsight, we’d suggest using the other parking space instead.

Positive: Wonderful place in a beautiful green garden directly by the river. The two day rainforest tour was amazing. Simple room but with fan and very clean. The staff was really nice.
Negative: Nothing. Some chairs in the garden would be nice, but only as an option

Positive: The people were really friendly. Banana pancakes for breakfast super tasty. Lovely kittens around. We booked the jungle trek with them and it was well organised. Our guides Selaman and Rafli were a 10, very kind people. All the locals involved in the trek were also very friendly and made the trek even better. After the trek we could have a shower in the accommodation before leaving back to the airport. We would totally recommend staying with them. Just be warned that the trek in itself is intense, at least when you stay more than just 1 day, if you are up for an adventure this is for you!
Negative: No mosquito net in our room, but it wasn’t an issue for us as we had mosquito repellent and the night we stayed there were no mosquitos inside the room.
