With our great interest in fishing and outdoor activities, Guttenberg was the ideal getaway for our family and we want to share that experience with others! When hanging out on the patio, either in the morning having coffee or at night around the firepit you will feel the private park like setting. This house was the perfect location for us as its close to both boat ramps, or walk 3 short blocks to River Park Drive where there is several places to dine.
Your stay is equipped with room to sleep up to 8 people! This includes a queen size bed, a full size bed, 2 twin beds, and sofa-bed. The kitchen is ready for any meal and the patio is ready for grilling and hanging out with friends and family! This home from the 1870's is located next to the railroad tracks, has tons of character around each corner, from the updated kitchen to the sliding barns doors the entire house is very charming.
If you have a boat, no problem, there is room beside the house for 2 trucks and trailers as well as electrical hookups to charge your batteries and a hose for washing down or cleaning your boat.
The garage is available for an additional fee, if your coming by ATV, convertible, motorcycle, or Jeep and need access to the garage please reach out to us prior to booking.
This unique property sits between 3rd and 4th street right next to Gallagher park. When booking this home you will receive a keyless/electronic lock code that works for both the front and back doors the day of your arrival. The home is cleaned from top to bottom after each use with fresh sheets for the beds and fresh towels for the bathroom. The house if fully furnished and guests are welcome to use everything they see. Summary: Spacious and privately located home with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen including coffee, and a nice fire pit with wood provided. Short walk to downtown Guttenberg shops, bars, restaurants and the waterfront. Being feet from the train tracks only added to the fun. Owner was immediately responsive to inquiries.

Summary: Stayed here for the weekend for a fishing tournament on the river. The house was super clean, plenty of room and Andy was a great host! Plenty of room for boats and outlets perfect for charging batteries overnight. Would recommend to anyone!

Summary: First thing I want to say is this is easily a 5 star rating from me if not or the nearby train tracks. If you are not used to sleeping near train tracks then come prepared with earplugs for sleeping, because the train may come through twice during the night and they are very liberal with the horn as they go through town. Aside from the train, this is an excellent property - in no small part thanks to the host. The host is very responsive and accommodating - drinks in the fridge and firewood for the fire pit. The house does feel a little old in places, but the cleanliness more than makes up for it. There is good patio seating with enough room for 8 guests to comfortably hang out outside and around the fire pit. Some minor inconveniences include a single bathroom with very little counter space and a low door frame to the bathroom (I'm 6'3 and hit my head once). The shower is surprisingly nice despite the slightly "old" feeling of the house with two different shower heads each with a few nozzle options. I really hate when showers and showerheads are gross or bad so this was a big plus for me after the surprise train visit in the middle of the night. There is a dining room table that folds out for versatility, but there is a lack of seating so don't expect to comfortably sit 8 people around an indoor table for dinner. The garage wasn't an option when we rented, but parking wasn't an issue since the host lets you park in the lawn and there is an alley you could also park in. There is a fenced-in playground right next to the house so if you have kids that would probably be good for you. My visit was for my wedding so we just hung out on the patio at night with a fire when we were in the house when we weren't at our venue, so I don't have much else to say. If you are comfortable walking a few blocks it is near enough to the riverside to walk to the historic downtown area too.
